Transfer Centre: Monaco Signs Twelve Players

Monaco FC's head coach, Arsene Wenger confirmed today the signing of twelve new players. The announcement was made this evening, where Wenger displayed his new signings. Little was known about Monaco's transfer targets until last week, when Wenger was asked in an interview which area of the team he wanted to strengthen. He responded;

" Last season, the defense leaked quite a few goals when under pressure. Such actions costed us important games, such as the Coupe de France semi final against PSG"

The rumours were true, as Monaco signed no less than 5 defenders so far.

" I'm glad all the deals were completed before pre season, it gives the team time to blend and adapt to our style of play. " Wenger said.

A much, much better preseason than last year's. We actually won in this one, convincing me that the new signings were going to click in very well, I hope. We went undefeated, only drawing against Lyon who are always a tough opponent. The only highlight of the preseason is that Kozak scored 10 goals in 6 matches, other than that, nothing too exciting happened.

Transfers

Italian striker Mattia Destro and Turkish midfielder Muhammed Demirci joined Monaco on free transfers. Destro signed a €40,000 p/w 4-year contract, while Demirci agreed to a €8,500 p/w 3-year deal.

Delvin Ndinga and Nabil Dirar join Stade Reims for a combined fee of €1M.

Andrea Raggi departs to Torino for a €2M fee.

Danish midfielder Jakob Poulsen joins Montpellier for €3M.

Gary Coulibaly switches France for Belgium as he joins Standard for €100k.

Not a bad way to start the season. Won against Lens and Bordeux pretty easily before succumbing to Toulouse. In the game against Nice we were 2-0 up, then they caught up with us. A goal from Destro in the 74th minute assured our victory. We occupy 1st place after 4 games with 9 points. If Lille wins they can overtake us though.

Terrible month for us, as we only picked up 1 win in 4 matches. The lost to Ajaccio in extra time is embarrassing. PSG dominated us throughout the whole match. I hope this was only an unlucky month for the lads. After this horrible month we are 6th on the table, falling 5 places since august.

That's more like it. First undefeated month this season. We defeated every team we faced this month easily, except for Lille which put up a tremendous fight, where an unlikely hero, Adryan, scored the winner in the 88th minute.

Another undefeated month under my reign; scored 15 and conceded 3. I'm starting to think we can actually win this league if we can get good results against the big teams. Kozak has been on fire this month scoring 8 goals.

Other news: Werden Bremen approached me and immediately rejected, I'm fully committed to Monaco.

Short month, but managed to stay undefeated. We dominated the Lyon game but couldn't crack down their defense. Unfortunately, Kozak, Ilsinho and Ocampos were injured this month, a bad time since we have all the big game coming up, but at least we sit in 1st place, 5 points ahead of PSG.

Other News: Juventus approached me, I rejected.

A good month for us as we extended our undefeated streak and did not concede a goal in the league this busy month where we had 6 matches. Kurt Zouma, Nathan Redmond, Ivica Juros, Pape Ba, Joel Essomba, Anouar Hajji, and Emerson joined the club on a combined fee of €32.632M.







Another undefeated month with pleasant results, especially the one against PSG since they are on our tails. We've tackled most of the top teams now, if our form continues the title will surely be ours.







So, we got through this month easily, beating the mediocre teams from the league and what did we earn? If we win next match we will be champions with 4 games in hand.







The title was secured after the 3-0 trashing of Sochaux. We completely dominated everyone in this league, which shows how much progress we have made in 2 seasons. Long live our success.







Finishing the season with style, 2 wins out of 2. My team is just unbelievably good, so good that we finished in 1st place with 104 points, breaking a league record.




So, after all this success in the league, how did we do in the French Cup?




Well, we won it. The first rounds were harder than the latter ones in my opinion. We dominated PSG in the semi-final, same with Bordeaux. I wasn't expecting to win the cup, but hey, any trophy is welcomed.

Well, that's it for our second season and to be honest, I'm getting tired of dominating everyone, it's too easy.
