Hi to all just wanted to ask some advice please I basically know how to change the fake German squad.......

I understand if the 1 is changed to 0 then the fake team is switched off?
Problem I have is the text is opening in notepad?? think that is right and when i put in the 0 and save it a message states cant create the programme...make sure path and names are correct.....it basically wont let me save the change..
Also is there a way of unlocking the real chairman section

You should be able to save the file by simply clicking Save, there should be no need for Save As. However, you may not be able to edit particular files if you're not an Administrator on your computer.
Tried again and for some reson it did save.....wasnt doing this before!!!
Started a new game but fake german team still there is there something to be done now with the set up game to get it to work

Do you have any custom databases? If you only did the trick with notepad on the 802 update for example, and then you chose to open one of your own databases, the fake team will still be there.
You'll need to do the same trick with every database you want to play.
About the chairman query, you can't become a Chairman in FM08. Although, there is a file (same thing as editing the fake german team file) in your standard database folder called 'make_me_chairman' where it will tell you how you can basically create a chairman with a name that you choose and company name that you choose. I've edited the file, but sadly i'm yet to see any team in FM08 be taken over.

the charimen part can be done in the original editor, works much better as well in my opinion.

playing new game as man u ....with man c given mega bucks..................they just bid £100m for ronnie very tempted!
they have signed arshavin/owen/aguelero/pirlo/huntelaar(lets hope that doesnt happen for real!!!!!!)
