Breaking News!

Sky Sports can Confirm that QPR manager Harry Redknapp has been sacked!

Sky Sports reporter Jim White was able to get a quick word with Harry Redknapp as he left Loftus Road this morning

Jim White- You are now Tony Fernandes third sacking at QPR in less than a year.
Harry Redknapp- That man really doesn’t know what he’s doing at this club. He knows nothing!

A disgusted Harry Redknapp drives off in his car.

This really is a bizarre scenario as there are several new signings made by Harry who have come to a new club looking for success.

Tony Fernandes

Early this morning QPR owner Tony Fernandes made a statement on the situation

Tony Fernandes- When I appointed Harry as manager last month it was something I felt could bring glorious success to this club. I gave him a massive budget to work with but he ended up making ridiculous signings! I give him the millions to spend and he does so on players such as Ben Haim who is almost as old as myself. There are players here that I’m looking to clear out and Harry just wouldn’t do that for me. There was no flair being brought into this country.
Back a few years the previous owners here at QPR had a plan. That plan was successful, to get QPR into the Premier League. I myself have a plan, and that is to make QPR a global sensation!
I will make sure that QPR are a top team in Europe by the next four years!
Let me know what you all think :D
Nice mate!

It has now been four days since the sacking of Harry Redknapp from QPR. The club haven’t released any statements regarding the situation since owner Tony Fernandes press conference on the day.

This morning former QPR player and manager Ray Wilkins joined us is in the Sky Sports News room. He told us his thoughts on the sacking but also spoke of his desire to take up the job once again nearly twenty years since his last managerial spell at the club.

Ray Wilkins-
“I haven’t been working with a football club since my departure as first team coach at Chelsea a couple of years ago. I felt the way Chelsea treated my sacking was horrendous. They never gave me any reasonable excuse to my sacking, looks a bit like what Mr.Fernandes has done to Harry in this case. Putting all of that aside, I really do miss working at a club.
I miss being able to go out onto the training ground each morning and making sure that my team succeed in their duties on the pitch each week.
During my previous time as manager at QPR I felt I was doing a decent enough job there until my second season when it all fell apart.
I believe the experience I attained from coaching at Chelsea on the other hand has made me a much more experienced coach and I feel I’m the right person for the job!”

Ray also confirmed that QPR has made no approach towards him in the past couple of days.

At the moment Ray Wilkins is favourite to become QPR’s next manager at 10/11.
Other managers that look to take a charge are Martin O’Neill from Sunderland and former Atletico Madrid manager Quique Flores, who had a successful spell in charge winning the Uefa Europa League & Uefa Super Cup, also finishing runners up in the Copa Del Rey in 2009/10

Lots of mistakes in the codes, emmetkellyx. Try to avoid them as it messes with the posts and ruins the look of your story. Just make sure you use this format

If you want to use multiple codes in one sentence, you use them in proper order. If you have typed "center" first, make sure it is the last to close.

For example:

Hello, this is a good code.

The format is -
Hello, this is a good code.

If you change the order, it'll still work, but as I said earlier, it will ruin the look of the page.

Will take note of this, thanks.

Breaking News!

Qpr have announced their new manager at the club!

Queens Park Rangers have announced that they have choosen former Dublin GAA manager Pat Gilroy as their new manager.

Gilroy has no experience in managing a Premier League squad but there have been statements released that he has accomplished all of his FA and Uefa coaching badges.
Pat Gilroy has confessed of his desire to manage a Premier League club and said his experience within the GAA coaching will help him a lot at QPR.

Pat Gilroy now 40 years old has been given a year to prove himself at the club.
With a transfer budget at £5 million, it looks like QPR owner Toney Fernandes has learned his lesson in the transfer market after spending millions on player who haven’t produced their qualities at the club.

Mr.Fernandes has told us here at ESPN that this is the start of his four year plan and expects at least a mid-table finish from his new manager.
Nice beggining man.
Good luck for your story :)
Nice start m8, I will be following.
Amazing start to yur story :) I hope you do well! :P
Nice start! Good luck mate!
Thanks everyone hoping to post updates soon :D , but I'm not able to take screenshots could someone please help me with this? :D
I can't say I have ever heard of the manager you are taking on the persona of. Good luck with the story; it was a club I loved managing back on FM2012.

Pre Season

The R’s pre season games where inconsistent as expected./

Pat Gilroy had admired the tactics of Jurgen Klopps Dortmund and is trying to replicate that with QPR, adding his own touches.

With a 2-1 win against Serie A Champions Juventus but also a 1-2 loss to Cheltenham & Sheffield Wednesday, it shows that when this QPR team do preform they can be excellent.

Gilroy knows that it will take time for the team to gel but when they do they will become an on stoppable force in the Premier League, he also believes that the team he is trying to create will succeed the ambitions the chairman has.
