Intro

I still remember the days, my first game with Schalke, my first goal, my first win, my first cap, my first international goal. Those were the greatest times of my life. I was on top of the world. But then retirement came and I was back to being a normal person, I never thought football would have a role in my life again, but that was before July 12th 2012.

(Back to July 12th 2012)
Ringggggggg
KF: Hello, who Is it?

CT: It’s Clemens Tonnies, from the Schalke Board. I was wondering if you’d like to come down to the bar at noon to meet me and watch some Football?

(Back to Present)

Clemens was one of my best friends at the time, he worked at Schalke. I met him for the first time at a ceremony for the old Schalke “legends”. He seemed like a friendly enough guy and we both shared a great passion for football, so we became friends. Every couple weeks, I’d meet him at the bar to watch some of the Bundesliga.

(Back to July 12th 2012)

KF: Sure Clemens, I’ll be there.

(At the bar)

KF: Hello Clemens, who are we watching today?

CT: Well, Nobody. I’ve actually come down here to ask you a question?

KF: Oh, well, what might that question be?

CT: Well, It’s a bit complicated.

KF: I have time.

CT: You see, current Schalke manager Jens Keller has been fired, you must know about that.

KF: yes

CT: Jens had not been living up to expectations, and when we fired him, we started a job hunt. We looked at Roberto Di Matteo and Pep Guardiola, but they had no interest in the job.

KF: How about Mark Hughes?

CT: He’s no good, look at his signings at QPR. I’m not here to ask you about other managers who could manage Schalke, I’m here to ask you If you’d like the job yourself.
KF: What?!

(Back to Present Time)
After this question, memories started rushing through my head, all my great days in Football. Here I was again, presented with the opportunity to get back into Football. How could I refuse? Then, all I thought about were the positives of this choice, the negatives disappeared into the back of my brain. I would later regret this choice, yes indeed.

Hey guys, I’m taking a break from the Zenit story for a while, It’s not over yet though. This story is to be told from flashbacks of Klaus’s past. The story will focus more on Klaus then the actual gameplay, although that certainly will still be there. There will also be a side story as suggested by the paragraphs above.

Thanks all for reading :D
Good luck Madrista :) Will be very interesting
Great start Madrista!

That same day, I was given a tour of the facilities and I had my meetings with both Clemens and my Assistant Coach, Mr. Markus Gidsol. I also took a routine check up to make sure I was allowed to be coach of Schalke.

(July 12th 2012, after the tour)

CT: Why don't you step into my office Klaus? We can talk about the future of the club?

KF: Sure, I'd love too.

(Back to the Present)

Everything was going so well, my dream to get back into football had come true. What came next was totally unexpected.

(Back to July 12th 2012)

CT: You can be manager of this club on One Condition, you get relegated!

KF: What!

CT: You see, I'm struggling a little bit when It comes to cash. Tomorrow night, a certain shadowy person will go into the Casino and bet a lot of money on Schalke being relegated, almost half a million pounds. The odds are so against that happening, that If it comes true, I make a fortune.

KF: What if I refuse?

CT: Then you get fired and your life will be ruined when reports come out that you were dealing drugs.

KF; But that's not true!

CT: You can make It true, you see, during one of those test in the check up, your fingerprints were taken. All we need to do is apply your fingerprints to the drugs and your life is ruined. It's an easy choice, as your reward for getting relegated, I will give you 1/5 of the earnings I take.

KF: I'll do It, but only because I have too.

CT: Markus, we're done here, come In.

(Back to the Present)

I was just stunned, being blackmailed by one of my closest friends. I still didn't know what to do, but I had to do It or I would be sent to Jail, my reputation tarnished.
(Back to July 12th, 2012)

MG: Hi, I'm your new assistant coach Markus Gidsol.

KT: Hi Markus

MG: The squad you are inhering is Champions league quality, with players such as Kryiakos Papadoupulous, Jefferson Farfan, and Klass-Jan Huntelear.

KT: Just wondering, worst case scenario, where do the team finish?

MG: 10th place, if you do the worst possible job, still well clear of relegation.

KT: That's great. Thanks, I was worried there.

(Back to the Present)

I just went into panic mode, right then. I didn't know how I would manage to be relegated without bribing the players. I was in a lose/lose situation.

(Back to July 12th 2012)

Here is the squad, posted right below. You have 434 Thousand Dollars to try to improve that squad.

KT: Thanks, I think I'm done here, see you all tomorrow.

(Back to the Present)

What a mistake I made right then, I should have done something fast before the fingerprints could be used. I didn't though, and I would regret It.

Side Story revealed guys, what do you think :D
Good luck mate.
Nice updates :)
Wait wut?! NASTY CLEMENS!
The Challenge

The challenge, to get relegated from the Bundesliga but to make Europe via Cup or winning the CHampions League. Then, win the Europa League or Champions League in the 2nd tier of German Football.

This is why I did the whole relegation thing :P
Hope you get the challenge accomplished! I'd say good luck, but you don't need it ;) :D
