Can't Hang on to the Lead against Teams

I'm half-way through my first season with Liverpool and no matter what tactic I use we will get a 1-0 lead and constantly concede an equalizer. It's so frustrating to see!
Is this happening to anyone else?
How do I get the team playing at a more consistent level?

Have your full backs play Defensive duties. Use the touchline instruction: "Retain Possession"

thanks just played 2 games and have 2-0 and 3-0 wins

I find that switching to a counter attacking style after taking the lead helps sometimes.
