Great start mate, I hope you can do better at At. Madrid than I did. :P (got fired) By the way, Filipe and Falcao are really really good, they were my best players. :D
A very nice start to your story. I'm looking forward to the rest :)

THE SO CALLED "COLUMBIAN LONG HAIRED PR*CK"

Our inside man at Athletico has been working hard again, and somehow has managed to listen in on the first conversation between the new manager, Ian Fairley, and the star striker, Radamel Falcao. This should be interesting to say the least. And one last point, a lot of translating went on to keep up with this conversation.

Emre

Hi there Radamel, is it okay if I call you Radamel? Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ian Fairley.
Urrghh yes I suppose its okay if you call me Radamel.
Okay. Well seeing as you are seen as one the key men at this club, I thought I would consult you and Emre about the direction this club is heading in.
Emre walks over.
Morning Boss, you wanted a word?
Something about the direction of the club, whatever that means.
Well I just thought I would let you know that this season I am very committed to playing fast, attacking football, which should suit both of you, you in particluar Radamel, down to a tee.
Sounds brilliant Boss, a few of us had issues with the way Diego did things. He was a very defensive minded manager. I think Radamel here really didnt agree with the way he did things.
Thanks Emre, could you let me and Radamel have a chat for a second.
Emre leaves the conversation. Goes back to training.
Ive heard about this incident. Im telling you right now, that nothing like that can or will happen between us. If you try to intimidate me or other players at the club, you will be out. I have no interest in how talented you are if you are behaving like an arsehole. Understand?
Hmm, yes. That seems fair. You had better deliver what you are promising though. Because if not then I will leave the club. Simple.
Fair enough. (starts smiling and joking around) Now get back to training you Columbian long haired pr*ck.

As you can see, this was an interesting conersationg. Especially Radamels last comment. This means that if Ian Fairley doesnt deliver the League and Champions League in a short amount of time, lets say three seasons, then Rademel will be leave. The pressure is really on Fairley now.

Pre-Season to come.

Pre-Season Results

Ian Fairley really couldnt have been happier with his teams pre-season. Played four games and won all four, including a tough game against a strong Tottenham side. Rademel was really performing in these games, scoring 7 in four.

The perfect warm-up...

As you can probably see, Barcelona is Athletico's second game of the season. We will have some interesting match reports to follow.

See you soon.
That Colombian prick seems really annoying to deal with. At least he scores goals though.

OPENING DAY OF THE SEASON

Deportivo vs Athletico Madrid

Athletico Madrid Team: Courtois, Filipe, Miranda, Godin, Silvio, Raul Garcia, Emre, Adrian, Diego Costa, Rodriguez, Falcao

A good performance from Athletico and the perfect start to the season. Falcao gave us the lead with a header in the 11th minute. Deportivo equalised in the 16th minute with a well placed shot. Falcao gave us the lead again in 75th minute. However, Deportive pegged us back again with 9 minutes to go. Falcao stepped up again, in the 91st minute with his third of the game.

Man of the Match – Falcao – A superb performance from the “Columbian long haired prick” who takes homes the match ball.

Unstoppable on his day.

He definetely scores goals. :D

THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON SO FAR?

Athletico Madrid vs Barcelona - 0-2

Athletico Madrid Team: Courtois, De Ceglie, Miranda, Godin, Silvio, Raul Garcia, Emre, Adrian, Arda Turan, Rodriguez, Falcao

Pretty much dominated by Barcelona from the off. David Villa scored in the 36th minute and 1 minute later Silvio was sent off. Messi made in two in the second half and that was game over. Went on overload to try and get back into the game but that failed. An overall poor performance.

Man of the match – Messi – Showed why he is the best player in the world.

The best player in the world? The best ever?

Injury update - Rodriguez out for 2-3 months. Filipe out injured as well.
Just out of curiousity, would you guys prefer it if i kept doing the matches like this? or would a monthly update be better? Cheers
Decided to change how I was presenting my matches. I am going to swap to a month by month thing. Hopefully a month a day. Maybe two months a day at the weekend.

August

We had a really good start to the season. A great 3 – 2 win against Deportivo set us up well for the match the week after against Barcelona. It wasn’t to be though, as Barcelona trounced us. And then to the Euro Super Cup. Ian Fairley was really looking to win this, but Juan Mata made the difference. It looks like a poor month, but I am relatively happy, an alright start to the season.

September

A great start to this month. Falcao scoring another hatrick. He is proving to be one hell of a player. A positive start to our Euro campaign, the team winning without Falcao in it. Diego Costa stepped up to the plate and Raul Garcia played spectacularly. Zaragoza came next and they outplayed Athletico. A poor 1 nil loss. The month finished well after that, with wins against Levante and Celta. Falcao is unstoppable, and is top scorer in the league with 8 in 6 games.

So we are two months in to the season, and we are doing relatively well. We are sitting in 3rd, with Barca and Real Madrid above us in the league, which at the present moment was to be expected.
A very interesting conversation soon to come. It really could shape the future of the club. And if you guys like a bit of a challenge, then I think I've set one. Could be a bit of a mistake. ;)
Ready for it! Loving the story, you're quality for a first-timer!

cheers Glenn T. The conversation will be up in the net hour

TROUBLE IN PARADISE?

Our inside man has been at it again. This guy is so good at his job you would think he is made up ;) . He has managed to catch another "discussion" between Falcao and Mr Fairley. What can they be discussing this time? Maybe these two should just get a room...

Ian Fairley
Falcao

Radamel: Boss, I really need a word with you. Do you have a second?

Ian: Quick, quick. Im trying to help out with the Under-18s. Anything you need help with?

Radamel: I'm really happy with how things have been going this season, and some of the work you have done has worked well, but...

Ian: Get to the point Radamel!

Radamel: Fine, to be honest, I dont ever see us overtaking Barcelona or Real Madrid. I want...no, no... I need trophies. Go to my house, I had a god damn trophy cabinet built. And it has more dust than trophies in it! And that isnt going to change any time soon!

Ian: I know we can do it. Give me two years and we will be above Madrid. Give me three years and Barca will be dust as well.

Radamel: Too long! I am Falcao. Best in the world! Everyone, and I mean everyone, in Europe wants me. MADRID. CHELSEA. CITY. PSG. The list is too long. You dont know how lucky you are to have me!

Ian: You and your f***ing ego. You are good, but not great. I can make you great. If we dont win something in two seasons then you can go. Deal!?

Radamel: I will consider it. But if things dont improve my christmas then I will request a transfer. Understand?

Ian: Maybe. But you need to keep your performances up. To the top of your game. Because if not, I will drop you, and then no one will want you. Do you understand that?

Radamel: Yes, of course I will perform. I love playing football. But I need to be winning. See you later Boss.

He is proving to be the "Columbian Long Haired Prick"

So, as you can see, perhaps the most interesting conversation between the dynamic duo yet. And a marker has been set. If Athletico arent among the trophies within two years, the Radamel Falcao will be leaving the club. Unbelievable Jeff!

A report on the month of October to follow.
