Hi there, im new to fm scout. I have been reading the site for years and finally thought I would get involved. I've decided to take on the challenge of breaking up the top two in Spain because in my opinion, if I manage to overtake Barcelona as the best club in Spain, then I think that should make me the best club in the world. So wish me luck! Any comments would be appreciated, as I said I am new to this.
Good luck, will be following!

BREAKING NEWS!

President of Athletico Madrid, Enrique Cerezo, has officially removed Diego Simeone as manager of the club. This is after a reported bust up between Simeone and the clubs star striker, Radamel Falcao. A journalist from the Spanish newspaper El Pais has had a quick interview with the man himself, Simeone.

J = Journalist
DS = Diego Simeone

So Diego, can you shed any light as to why you have been removed from the club?
It is ridiculous, one of the most overated footballers, wait..wait, THE most overated footballer in football, decided that I did not know what I was doing, and took it upon himself to start issuing his own instructions to the players.
So, I assume you didn't take to kindly to this then?
Such a stupid question, of course I did not take to kindly to his actions. I questioned the player about the incident, and he laughed me off, saying I did not know what I was doing.
And then? That still doesnt explain why you have been removed?
Well...urmmm, I then proceeded to, how do I put this bluntly, I may have punched him, straight in his overated smiling gob. Does that answer your question?
And one more question. Am I right in thinking that the player in question is Radamel Falcao?
I won't disclose his name, but what I can tell you is that he is a long haired, colombian pr**k! This interview is over.

And so, the President search for a new manager has begun, and it appears that whoever takes over has the interesting challenge of managing not only Athletico Madrid, but also the personality of a certain Columbian.

Love the start. For a new writer you're doing brilliant.

Long-haired Colombian prick :))

Keep it up!

Since the dismissal of Diego Simeone, a few managers names have been thrown around to take the lead at the Estadio Vicente Calderon. One name in particular seems to be the favourite. Since he was fired at Chelsea, Roberto Di Matteo's stock seems to have risen, and it appears that he is going to be approached by the President of Athletico.

BREAKING NEWS! DI MATTEO REJECTS ATHLETICO!

http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q652/fairley1234/roberto-di-matteo-image-1-958902168_zps9bdf4693.jpg
Roberto Di Matteo gesturing as to how big Falcao's ego is...

No one in the world of football saw this coming. Roberto rejected the presidents approaches. and it appears to be for one reason in particular. The name Falcao seems to be flying around a lot of the newspapers at the present moment. Is the so-called "Columbian Pr**k" putting off potential managers? And with only a few weeks to go before the season starts, will the president lose his cool and hire just about anybody? More to come soon.
Oh my God :)) Yes, this is exactly the kind of story I've been looking for.

You would think most managers would love to work with a striker like Falcao ;)

Good start for your first story, keep it going.

PRESIDENT LOSES SOMETHING - OH WAIT, ITS HIS MARBLES!

With many managers being touted to take over at Athletico, there has been a shock announcement. An unknown manager, Ian Fairley, has been placed in charge of one of the top teams in Spain. We have done background checks on this guy, and he literally has no experience anywhere! What is happening to Spanish football?! As soon as we discover his location in Spain, we will have an interview to give you. God, this should be interesting. The only thing we have for you at the present moment is a photo of him, stolen from his facebook. Stay tuned for the interview.

(This isnt me by the way)
Been waiting for an Atletico story!

Great start, loving the story so far... Good luck :)

WE HAVE THAT INTERVIEW FOR YOU

Journalist
Ian Fairley

We only really have one question. How did you get this job?
Well, I heard that Simeone had been fired. I was drunk when I found out, so I emailed the president. I guess he liked what he read, because here I am.
Urmm okay, well have you got any plans for the club?
Yes, yes I have. I know that there may be a lot of scepticism out there, and possibly even hatred. But, I know that I can make this club great. I will break up the Barcelona/Real Madrid stranglehold on Liga BBVA. And I will win the champions league. Just you wait.

On his way out of the interview, Ian passed one of our reporters a USB containing the email he sent to the president. We truly hope it is a joke, because otherwise, we worry what direction Athletico are headed in.

Dear Mr Enrique Cerezo,

My name is Ian Fairley. I hear that you are having issues hiring a manager. I am the man you need. And here is the main reason why. Have you heard of a small club called Woking? Didn’t think so. Well, it took me five years of hard work, but I got them promoted to the Premiership, they won the Champions League and I was in the hall of Fame. So what if it all happened on Football Manager. It still happened in my eyes. And they had a young striker called Guiseppe Sole. This guy sounds similar to your Falcao. And I dealt with him. He top scored season after season.
Trust me. I am the one you need.

Ian Fairley

P.S. When you hire me, I will need you to pay for flights and my accommodation. I am lacking funds currently. See you soon.

See what we mean, its a joke. It has to be. Anyway, thats all we have at the moment. As per usual, we will keep you up to date as and when we recieve any news.

(NEXT INSTALLMENT WILL CONTAIN SQUAD REPORT AND TACTICS, PLUS TRANSFER NEWS)
This, my friend is BRILLIANT!
Cheers for all the support. I havent got much of a transfer budget, but you will hear more about that next.

Here at SkySports, we have just recieved an email from one of our "special reporters" who we have on the inside at Athletico. Any information we recieve about Athletico will have come from this reporter. The most recent email from him contained Athletics tactics for the upcoming season, as well as any recent transfer information.

It appears that this will be Athletics main formation for the season, and this will be used in all home games.

A second, more defensive formation, most likely to be used during away games against slightly larger opposition.

We also got sent through a squad report, which is here.

Here is a detailed report on Radamel Falcao. He is seen as Athleticos key player, but also as a troublemaker within the squad.

As you can see, he is a force to be reckoned with. Expect him to be high amongst the top scorers this season.

Transfers to follow.
TRANSFER UPDATE

Athletico and Ian Fairley were given a transfer budget of £869k and a wage budget of £880k p/w. Despite the small amount, Fairley has been a busy bee.

As well as those two signings, Mauro Caballero is also arriving in January 2013.

Adryan

Pablo De Ceglie

Backup to Filipe for this season. A good squad player.

Mauro Caballero

One of the best young players on the game. Should be a star for yours to come.

Soon to come. Pre season results. As well as a pretty heated discussion between two people at the club. I wonder if you can guess who... ;)
Great start to this story, keep it up!
