Kolatowicz Shocks The Footballing World
Still relatively unknown manager Mark Kolatowicz, who only took over Dundee United just over a season ago has rocked the football world by resigning from the club whom he took to only their second European final in his first stint in management.
Kolatowicz who turns 27 this august has decided that he sees his footballing career away from scotland stating that the league has no great structure and the only team who seem to get proper backing from the media and sponsors alike are Celtic. He even went on to speak about Rangers being financially better off than most of the teams in the SPL even after their administration months.
"We cant afford to keep up with Celtic financially, they wanted one of our players and as soon as he seen the money on the table he wanted to leave, what can i do ? The league needs restructuring so that all clubs have the correct financial backing from sponsorships so we can attract better players to our clubs in Scotland. For these reasons i have decided to resign from Dundee United and have set my sights on a new challenge, i fully expect Dundee United to carry on from were i left off and win the league within a couple of seasons, i just feel im not the one to take them to that glory."
Reports are suggesting that Kolatowicz has already been offered a contract from an unknown team and that it looks really likely that the deal will go through within the next couple of weeks.
"i can today confirm that i am talks with a team already, i can also confirm that no talks were made whilst i was manager of Dundee United as that is very disrectful to the club. I will be holding a press conference with my new club within the next few weeks given that all things go to plan"
