Dan Harrington - Widely tipped to be the next Roberto Mancini, ex-professional Footballer, until a career ending injury. Harrington did all of his coaching courses and gained a Continental Pro License, and was on the look out for employment.

BREAKING NEWS Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri has left the club on mutual grounds.
Mazzarri was quoted in saying " i need to move on to bigger and better things, i feel a move to england would suit me" Many teams in england looking for a new manager have now all jumped at the chance to try and get Mazzarri to sign for their club, especially chelsea. Soon after the sacking of Mazzarri a NEW manager with no managerial experience but playing experience Dan Harrington Has been unveiled as the new boss. Harrington said " this club [Napoli] are really going places and i hope to be the one that gets them there" When asked by press what he aims to achieve for Napoli in his first season he simply replied in saying, " I want to entertain the Napoli fans by playing nice attaking football and with that we aim for a champions league place. Asked about europe he said " well obviously we would love to win the Europa League but we know that it will NOT be a walk in the park by any stretch of the imagination.

Napoli 4 - 0 Napoli Reserves.

In this intra-squad friendly Napoli fulfilled all expectations. with Edinson Cavani away on iternational duty, 21-Year-old Lorenzo insigne took his place and what a game he had 2 goals and one even Lionel Messi would have been proud of,picking the ball up 45 yards away from goal, beating 3 opponents and sliding the ball into the back of the net. as expected Napoli dominated their reserves on the scoreline but in the 1st half The reserves were giving the first team a real good go, until Pandev opened the scoring on the 15 minute mark, the game was still wide open well at least thats what the reserve team thought, it wasn't until Lorenzo Insigne made it 2-0 that the reserves were really lacking in confidence and ultimately put on the back foot for the remainder of the game. Insigne added his second and Napoli's third in the last minute of normal time in the first half, Harrington went inside and told his team to carry on the way your going. Some of the first team didn't really see the point in playing the reserves, but Harrington wanted to evaluate his team in depth.

Transfer Update for Napoli

Players in

Wellington Nem - A young Back up for Hamsik with the potential to become a club legend £3.5m

Stephan El Shaarawy - A good AMR and AMC will be tried up front and will be put on a training scheme. £15m

Players out
Camilo Zuniga - Newcastle £8m
Francesco Bruno - Santarcangelo Loan.

When asked about Wellington nem Harrington said ' i was definitely looking towards the future with this signing'

When asked about Stephan El Shaarawy Harrington said 'i feel Stephen can make an instant impact within the first team'

Harrington did finish with " you wont see much else in the transfer window from me as i have improved where i feel we were lacking'

The Pre-Season Ends.

Pre-season wasnt perfect but it was mainly to allow the team to get used to the tactics and my playing style, at some points we were outstanding others useless, but i wasnt to harsh on the lads as it was only pre-season.

Napoli vs Napoli reserves (h) 4-0

Napoli vs Aue (a) 3-1

Napoli Vs Tottenham Hotspur (a) 1-2

Napoli Vs Barnsley (a) 1-0

Napoli Vs Manchester United (a) 1-2

Despite the results the team didnt play too badly, the best player of our pre-season campaign was easily Lorenzo Insigne the 21-Year-old scored 4 goals in 5 games.my stand out performer, vs tottenham Insigne had a 30-Yard Free-kick and it bounced back off the bar agonsingly close.

Our best game was vs Aue as in the first half we went 1-0 down, but with a change of formation the lads responded really well, with Cavani opening our scoring and Insigne scoring two.

Despite Harrington saying there would not be much action from him in the transfer window, he signed Steve Caulker on Loan from tottenham until the end of the season, with an option to buy him for £12m. Cavani didnt have the best pre-season and hopefully he will be better when it comes to the super cup vs Juve.
Good start TNM, keep it up :)

Nice start m8, I will be following.
Good luck ;)
Nice start mate, love the signing of El Shaarawy, maybe you can milk out some of his real world form ;)

Breaking News from Naples, Napoli manager Dan Harrington has been dragged into a transfer deadline day deal. Harrington has unveiled his new loanee Paul Pogba. Harrington has said that this is one for the future, a clause in Pogba's loan contract allows Napoli to purchase the strong defensive midfielder. Harrington will look for Pogba to be a back up.

Harrington said ' I'm elated with the singing of Paul, he is quick strong and is very good passer of the ball, he will definitely become one of the best in the world '

Pogba said ' Im happy at signing for napoli, they are a team really going places, and i hope to play a key role in helping them.'

A difficult start to the season for Harrington and his Napoli side. The best player of these 4 games has been Steven Caulker.

Napoli 2-2 Bologna [h] [Serie A]
Gokhan Inler (pen) 68
Lorenzo Insigne 76

With Insigne's Strike napoli thought they could have held onto a certain victory, however this was not the case as bologna equalised in 92nd minute. Harrington looked gutted.

Napoli 0-0 Atalanta [a] [Serie A]
A real bore draw in napoli's first away game of the season.

Napoli 2-3 CSKA Moscow [a] [Europa league]

Keisuke Honda really bossed the midfield vs Napoli. however Cavani opened his account for Napoli.

Napoli 3-1 Palermo [h] [Serie A]

it was the team from Naples that won 'delle Due Sicilie Derby' with Harrington's team moving into 4th Place in the league. A shocking start to the season for FC Internazionale puts them in 18th place.

Unfortunately My Napoli Save has become corrupt, i will therefore not be continuing on with this save. However i have decided to Start An Arsenal save. So be prepared to see that in the near future. :)
