Regular double-booked/red cards..

Im currently in a match (MUFC) and Phil Jones has just been sent off.

I noticed in my first season, Rafael was getting double-booked or a straight red very regularly (11Y, 2R), so I dropped him and played him only in a handful of games. Phil Jones seems to be the same, but he is my main right-back and I refuse to play Rafael because he wont learn his lesson.

Ive changed my tackling setting in the tactics to "More cautious", which now makes my hard-man centre halves exploited. Is there anything I could do to reduce this ill-discipline?

EDIT: Only specified those two players but this is happening with others, I now waste valuable substitutes to reduce the risk of a second yellow.. RVP, Valencia, Evra and even Carrick have been doing the same.

It could be just the mental attributes of the player plus the clubs stature, ambition & drive to succeed etc. Im just a bit fed up with this one, havnt had it with any other club to this extent..

Sigh.

Depends on your tactics too, telling them to get stuck in or hassle players will inevitably result in cards. Playing tired or anxious players means they make mistakes, playing them out of position can have a similar effect.

If none of the above apply, have them checked for rabies...

Rafael is always picking up yellow/red cards with me in my arsenal game. i punish him with fines and putting him in the reserves but he still picking up cards
