Kanchelskis Unveils Signing

http://media.realitatea.ro/multimedia/image/201208/w728/411019_ricardo_cadu_71016300.jpg

Andrei Kanchelskis has announced his first signing as boss of Rubin Kazan. Cadu signed from CFR Cluj for £1.2million, and it is expected the 30 year old central defender will start on the bench and play based on performances of others.

Cadu was first of a team who won the Romanian League twice as well as many other honours, winning a total of 7 medals throughout his career. Andrei admitted he is delighted at bringing Cadu into the club and feels he has form an excellent friendship with the Portugese player.

Cadu will be on £15k per week in a deal that will expire in 2015.
Just to say, after the recent problems with the Russian Super Cup 2012 post, I have finally managed to complete it! Make sure you go back and read it! ;)

Review:

July was a short, but successful month. Two wins out of two have given us a good start to the league, and we have carried on the good form. I hope it continues and we can get more success. I feel the league could be a realistic target to win if we continue like we are at the moment.

Player of the Month:

CESAR NAVAS

Cesar Navas has had a great month, during pre-season and the first few games. In the game against Dinamo Moscow, he managed to score a cracker and win the man of the match award, and had a solid game in defence in the second game of the month. Cesar Navas was closely followed by Cristian Ansaldi in second and Salomon Rondon in third.

Key Players

After looking at the squad more and seeing what they are like, I have found 3 players that will be key in the road to victory. They will lead the squad, help out and ensure we can win as much games as possible.

Cristan Ansaldi

Ansaldi, the left back, is personally my favourite player in the squad. However, this isn't the reason he's here. He's a solid player, and he will be key in running the defence and making sure we concede less and less every game. Ansaldi is in my plans for many years, and I hope he can help lead us to victory.

Salomon Rondon

Rondon is the star striker of the team. I hope he can score in nearly every game, and he will be the dominating force. With a mix of power, strength, speed and excellent shooting, Rondon could be the difference in first and second or a win and a draw. Rondon only recently joined the team, but should be staying for a long time.

Yann M'Vila

M'Vila is another of the new stars. He has great ability and potential and will run the midfield. The midfield is the strongest position within the team, and Yann is the master. He will dominate play, winning the ball while acting as a playmaker. Personally, M'Vila is a player I like a lot, so I hope he can do well.

Captaincy

CAPTAIN: Roman Sharanov

VICE-CAPTAIN: Cesar Navas
Great updates. This will be a contender surely for SoTM
PaukerJ: Thank you, but I doubt it. Some stories are much more developed, but it means a lot just having the suggestion of SoTM. Thanks again :D

Review:

August has continued their success. Rubin Kazan are still unbeaten this year, and players are still performing very well. August was a solid month, and a 3-0 win against Spartak Moscow has to be the highlight. I'm proud of the team at the moment, and I hope they can continue.

Player of the Month:

SALOMON RONDON

Salomon Rondon had a great month, getting the goals and assists. He did the double on Spartak Moscow and although he didn't score as many in others, he grabbed the assists and got decent ratings in all games. Cesar Navas had another great month to grab the second place and Cristian Ansaldi took third with more solid performances.
Really great updates mate. I agree that Rondon has been and will be a key-player for you. I'm excited for your finish in the league :D

Europa League Draw

Group I:

Review of Group I:

Not a bad group, not a great group. Bayer Leverkusen are a team I am very happy with, avoiding seeded teams such as Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and Inter. Newcastle could be a challenge, and were on of the better possibilities. Genk should cause no real trouble, and I want nothing less than maximum points against them.
Thats a good draw. You Avoided Both Group C And H which is good also!

Navas Wins Award!

Although Salomon Rondon won Rubin Kazan's player of the month award, Cesar Navas who claimed second place and winner of the previous month, has been awarded PLAYER OF THE MONTH in the Russian Pro League, battling against hundreds of other players to win the awards.

His solid defending and occasional attacks, and goals, led to the Spainard winning the award. Navas was the first winner of the award this season, not award being given in July.
FMCanary: Yeah, Im happy with the draw. PSG seem the only decent team, so I'm happy I avoided the big ones. :P
This is a great story so far. It is great to see someone taking on a lesser team and doing so well with them. Keep it up.
