Racing Club Genk, A team who expects to finish in European slots within their domestic league, I expect better, I want to dominate Belgium, I don't want people to talk about Anderlecht anymore

I started pre season by contacting some players I know from my 2nd home of Norway, starting in Belgium was always going to be tough as been a English/Norwegian man I could not speak the language but I knew i would pick it up as I am there

I decided to sign Strandberg to play in DC, my plan is to play Kara in a DMC position, he is natural as a CB but his ability to me says he will be perfect in the long run playing DMC

I signed 2 more Norwegian players, both I brought in to the club as rotation based players as I felt to play 5 in Midfield i needed to strengthen the depth
I then brought it a highly wanted striker called Fierro from Chivas, he has the potential to be a world class striker, I broke the clubs record transfer fee to sign him costing me £6m (7m Euros)
I only sold 1 player, Barda, he is 30 years old and we have a couple of players in that position who were in front of him in selection so I decided it was worth the sale

I have started well in the league, not alot to report as only a few games in but a nice away point to Anderlecht was well deserved.

In Europe I knocked out Mura 05 from Slovenia 3-1 on agg in the 3rd qualifying round before facing Hearts of Scotland in the Playoff round winning 4-0 on agg to set up a tough group, I am hoping for a 2nd place finish in the group with a chance of winning it if my team can do well away from home.

Good luck at Genk. They got a good youth system in real life and i think in game too. I'm an anderlecht fan myself but i sympathize with genk they are a warm club. They produced some quality players like de bruyn and courtois and now playing with anderlecht Praet.
they got some nice young startlet coming so realy good luck. IRL they are top 4 top 5 team normaly they should be able to make top 2 behind anderlecht ofcourse

Caelis : IRL they are top 4 top 5 team normaly they should be able to make top 2 behind anderlecht ofcourse

Not if he keeps signing all those Norwegians. >:)
I will follow this.
Brilliant start mate! Keep it going ;)
Small Update:

Since the opening post it has been a period of 2 halves, I hit a really bad patch and nothing seemed to get me out of it, I decided to go back to a basic 4-4-2 and moved Kara back into CB and dropped Strandberg to the bench for a couple of games, this turned the form around and after a couple of games i started to play Strandberg in CM defensive and he is preforming really well :)

here is a my fixtures and you can see the difference and the point where i changed it to 4-4-2

Europe... This was a very very interesting ride, as you can see from fixtures above I did not start the group well, losing the 1st 3, again the remaining 3 happened after a change back to basic 4-4-2, I actually scored the goal to secure progression in the 93rd minute, Now i do understand that me not speaking Belgian will be a big factor in the teams performance so understand in time i will pull better results more consistent

There will be a update after mid season transfer window closes
Great start mate, I've heard that Kara has been a bit of a flop in other saves but I'm interested in how he'll do at Genk. Keep up the good work and I'm sure you'll win the title this year :D
Great start, will be interesting to see how Fierro turns out, from my experience it seems you may have overpaid slightly, with the new update I can normally get him for around £3million. Nevertheless, he could still turn out as a success for sure, but he's a great capture. Good luck.
End of Transfer Window update:

Ok since the last update I have continued to preform fantastic in the league, my players have all shown their worth to the club, Here is fixtures as you can see they have won alot of the games played.
Also you will see i have been drawn against Tottenham in the Europa League

Here is the league table, I am now top of the league and im hoping to push on and put a big gap between me and 2nd place

Trasfers in the window have been slow but I am happy with signings, you will see I sold more than I bought and the 2 people i have bought are both strikers, I have 2 Defenders and 2 Midfielders in my u19s I want to move into squad so i could afford to sell the players i have sold and i felt i only needed to improve my strikers, I now have 4 good solid strikers who all should preform better than in the Belgian league so hopefully they will prove they are too good for the division.

I now also have PSG as a parent club so im hoping in the summer I can secure some good loan signings.
Great start, hope you keep in 1st
Good start mate :) keep it up!
PSG will help you alot. Marco Verratti. If you can try and get Marco Verratti, on loan or permanently. He will develop so much, and will already help you loads. Good story so far, keep it up :)
