Basically I am in the champions league semi final against Barca but I am not sure how to beat them. When I have played against them before I lost 3-0 and 2-0 and they were all over me. I have all the original United players but RVP is out injured. Do I go out attacking in the first leg away or sit back and try to counter? Please help.
I've had some good success against them by just going all out attack. A while ago I lost a save where I played them every year four about four years in a row, so I got the strategy against them perfect in that.

To begin with I tried to go with either a more conservative or a counter attacking approach but they just scored way too easily. One of the first times I drew them, in the first leg at about 3-0 down I decided to give up and switched to all out attack, and ended up winning the match. I then started the next game with the attacking strategy, and hammered them from start to finish. Since then I always go all out attack against Barca and I've never lost a game to
them (though a couple of times they came close).

I can't remember how different the squad was, and this was a while ago so it might not be the same thanks to updates, but it should be worth a try!

ive played them 3 years in a row and won 4/5 the way i did was a 4-2-1-2-1
4 defenders, full backs on automatic and cb to defend, 2 holding midfielders, one being an anchor man and one being a defensive midfielder, a central midfielder as a deep lying playmaker and two wingers set as inside forwards, then the striker as a poacher, this meant i nicked games i think the highest scoring was 3-2, you also have to be astute changing mentality within game, if they are dominating, counter, if your building momentum, attack NEVER GO ALL OUT DEFEND BARCELONA WILL RAPE YOU

Best way to go is just to play your football but I like to include these two touchline instructions:

Retain Possesion: So they find it difficult to win the ball when they dont have it.
Hassle Opponents: To put them under pressure and to force them in to making mistakes

After this, it becomes a match of whoever takes their chances, wins.

The best form of defense is to attack :)

Then you realise you have Torres up front :P
