With only 3 games being played it was very important to collect all 9 points and keep up the title race with Juventus who are on an 8 game win streak and dont really look like losing soon. The win over over Inter was really special to me as they are a top top team in Italy and are 1 of the favourites for the league so for them to come to our stadium and for us to win 1-0 and shut them out was very pleasing.
In November we have 5 games including a very tough game away at Napoli and a tough home visit from Parma, as always we will be looking to win all games we play and as always we fear no-one.
Once again i cant stop smiling what a great month although we drew a couple games we still remain unbeaten and we defeated Napoli at their own stadium which says alot about how our team are pregressing this season. We are now 7 points behind Juventus but we have a game in hand which we could cut down to 4 points if we get the win.
we have a very tricky December lined up with the likes of Udinese in the next round of the Italian Cup, and of course the inevitable game against Juventus which i would rather avoid if possible, we then have AC Milan straight after that, although they are underperforming in the league they are still a very dangerous team with the likes of Balotelli, El Shaarawy and Boateng.
The Legend Comes Home
After weeks of speculation regarding the growing friendship of new Fiorentina manager Mark Kolatowicz and former great Gabriel Batistuta, it is understood that the Argentinian as re-joined the club as a coach. The 43 year old spent 9 seasons with the club as a player and appeared in 332 matches and scored a very impressive 207 goals. He has signed a 3 year deal with the club, with Mark Kolatowicz saying, "Its great to have Gabriel rejoin us here, he was a fantastic player for the club and we hope he can teach our young strikers a thing or 2, ideally i want him to be a coach for now but maybe in the future he could be my number 2".
Well what can i say another unbeaten run in the league is fantastic but i am absolutely gutted that we got knocked out of the Italian Cup especially by Udinese whom we beat 5-1 in the league, i thought we had that in the bag and would have easily progressed, just need to concentrate fully on the league now and look to strenghten the squad for the 2nd half of the season.
We have a fairly easy run in for January with only 4 games and them being against Chievo, Pescara, Palermo and Bologna so i fully expect the maximum 12 points available and will look to stay top of the league.
