Season Overview 2013/2014

MANCHESTER UNITED WIN THE LEAGUE.

It's a even better time to be a United fan as they have now made it to the Football League leaving the god forsaken Non-League football behind but now things will get tougher. They've had a great season finishing on 105 points and scoring 108 goals beating there last season goals by 4 and breaking the non-league record for goals scored in one season.

Next we will look at the whole squad and see how they have done, It's no doubt in anyones mind that they wouldn't of scored all them goals if it wasn't for Matt Tubbs and Kingsley Ogueubu who scored a huge 59 goals between them. See Below for the picture of the whole squad.

Manchester United Dinner Evening

Manchester United players and staff today attend a dinner evening to celebrate the success of the season and they will announce the awards for the players.

Matty Tubbs won the top goal scorer award scoring 31 goals in 41 appearances in the league, sadly he's only on loan at Manchester United from Bournemouth and his contract don't run out for another year, Peter wants to snap him up in the summer, could he become a red?

Matty Done won the most assists award where he acquired 14 assists this season, he's been a great player on the left wing and also was used on the right due to injuries where he adapted quite well, he will be featured in league two next season.

Manchester United Announce Retained and Released List

This is the moment United fans have been waiting for to see who will be leaving and who will be staying next season. BBC Sport will give you a run down of the players who will be left after the lists.

Manasseh Ishiaku, Mouhamadou Ba, Samir Bengelloun, Dean Winnard, Samba Kanoute, Akos Buzsaky, Matthew Paget and Diego have not been offered new contracts and have been released from the club.

David Prutton has joined Fleetwood Town on a free transfer while goalkeeper Trevor Carson has joined Forest Green Rovers on a free transfer.

Manchester United have today signed 7 players in there bed for a back to back promotion season in to the nPower League One

Leon Best the ex Newcastle United striker today signed on a seasons long loan from Blackburn and hopes to partner Kingsley up front.

The pacey striker Leroy Lita has joined on a free transfer after his Swansea City contract had expired, many football fans in the UK always see Leroy Litas name thrown around and he's today signed for Manchester United.

Seig Keita the 29 year old right winger has joined United on a free transfer following his Mouscron contract expired, Keita was well known in the French football league following his spell with RC Lens where he spent about 5 years.

Experienced Mario Licka has joined Manchester United on a free transfer, He has had a spell in English football with Southampton where he spent two seasons when they was in the nPower Championship.

Youngster Billy Knott joins United on loan from Sunderland, the 21 year old center midfielder is looking to gain experience and break into the first team.

6 ft 2 giant Julio Taveres will almost feature in the first team next season, the Cape Verde striker joined on a free transfer following his contract expiring at old club Dijon FCO.

Center back Rob Kiernan has joined United on loan from Wigan.

Manchester United today signed the last 7 players in a bid to challenge the title in the nPower League Two

Strong center midfielder Dickson Etuhu has joined Manchester United on a season long loan from Blackburn, the 32 year old Nigerian will be bossing the midfield in League Two.

Goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler has joined Manchester United on a season long loan where he will provide backup to YellDell and also gain some experience from the number one keeper.

28 year old Adam Eckersley has been a red before where he started his career before never getting a contract renewal, the left back is hoping to finish his career off at Manchester United where he started.

Cyriaque Louvion has joined on a free transfer following his contract at Havre FC expiring he's spent all of his footballing career in the French Football league so starting a new journey in the UK was a brave decision.

Exciting center midfielder Kevin Bru has signed on a 2 year contract after his FC Istres contract had expired, Kevin Bru has never left France football.

Left winger Razak Boukari has joined Manchester United from Wolves for a fee of £525k.

Influential center back Richard Keogh has joined from Derby for a fee ok £825k. The center back will more than likely be the captain next season.
