Breaking News

We at Sky Sport understand that Neil Lennon has left his role at Celtic with immediate effect. It's not yet known who will take over.

Lennon was the manager of Celtic for two and a half seasons. He took over after Tony Mowbray was sacked in 2010. During Lennon's time there he won the Scottish Cup in the 10/11 season and the SPL title in 11/12.

Back to Celtic


Today it has been revealed that the main (yet unknown) candidate for the vacant Celtic role is close to Peter Lawwell, the Celtic Chief Executive, and they will be appointed in the next few days. Many are suggesting people like David Moyes and Henrik Larsson but whoever it is their identity will be unknown till the are unveiled.

Celtic Manager Appointed


News just in. Celtic FC have appointed a new manager. In a club statement they have said Mr Rab MacDonald has been handed the managerial role at Celtic Park and has replaced Neil Lennon. A press conference will be held tomorrow morning with more details.

First Day

I walked through the door into reception. I looked around. I couldn't believe it. The moment had finally come. After two years hard working to get those coaching badges I was finally putting them to use. I heard a sudden noise and looked up. There was Peter Lawwell. We exchanged a few words and before I knew it he had led me along the back corridor to the press room and through a small door. As soon as I walked through the press room door cameras started flashing and I was the center of attention. We sat down.

Reporter - You're here today as the new manager of Celtic. Are you pleased to have this role?
Me - Nope to be fair I wanted to be the kit man(!) Obviously I'm please. I've supported Celtic since I was a child. It's a true honor.
Reporter - Last season this Celtic side won the league. Do you think you can replicate this success?
Me - I think we have to be strong favorites with Rangers, or as some of our fans have nicknamed them "The Zombies", out of the league.
Reporter - One last question. What is your tactical approach to football?
Me - I want to play attractive football but also I want to have good attacking strength. Thank You.

As I left the club building I felt a feeling of joy flow over me. It had happened. I'd dreamed about it for years but now it was reality. I was the manger of the Glorious Glasgow Celtic.

New Singings

I've brought three new signings in - Carlton Cole (Loan), Vito Mannone (Loan) and Craig Sibbald.

I've brought in Cole for backup. His stats are ok and I think he'll get a few goals.

I've got Mannone simply because our backup up goalie (Victor Noring) isn't good enough.


Sibbald is a good young player and hopefully will develop over the season. Unfortunately he is injured at the moment.

Cesar Arzo Signs for Celtic



I've scouted him many times and I think he will do well for Celtic. Also I need him for my assault on the Champions League.

Reporter - Mr MacDonald are you please that this deal is over after weeks of negotiations?
Me - Yeah obviously. His agent pushed a hard bargain but in the end we agreed a deal and look he's here today and that's all that matters.
Reporter - Do you think that you overpaid for Arzo? Two and a half million is a lot of money.
Me - Can you no get it in tae your thick wee skull there. Course I don't think its too much otherwise I wouldn't have paid it.
Reporter - Do you believe Cesar is good enough to play along side Wanyama and Brown in the Champions Cup?
Me - I think Cesar can come up with goods and surprise a lot of people. No more questions now we've got to get to training.

Pre Season



I'm please with how pre season has went and I'm especially please with the Liverpool and Inter results. Those two results sent out shock waves and even though they were friendlies it shows how deadly we can be on our day.
