Wondering how you prefer to play your playmaker? using him as an attacking midfielder, Advanced playmaker or an inside forward? What is the main benefit of playing him in that role?

Also, how many strikers do you play in front of him? and what type of striker(s) would they be?

Cheers :D
My No 10's natural position is attacking midfield but I often play him as a left winger, inside forward. Been scoring like a striker and assisting like a proper No 10 so it's a pretty good position for him :)
I play mine (Gourcuff) as an Attacking Midfielder, with a poacher (Lopez), one or two strikers in front will work, with two upfront they pass in triangles if you have your instructions set to 'Keep Possession' but I suggest only one upfront so you control more in midfield. The main benefit is he can lay it out to the wingers well, play the lone striker through, and have shots of his own, as well as the Advanced Playmaker behind him pushing up to do the same.
I always use Advanced Playmaker with the attack duty. Works particularly well if you have an exceptionally good AM. Mine is currently Oscar or Allessandro Florenzi at Roma.
I use advanced playmaker specifically mesut ozil and he plays exceptionally well, with 2 strikers one as advanced forward/poacher and the other as deep lying forward support and so far so good, I tweak the advanced playmaker's creative freedom depending on the opposition and he usually averages 7.40 per game or higher
Attacking midfielder (support role if striker is of higher quality, attacking if lower)
Advanced playmaker (if player has a high passing percentage and is a player with a little something-something (lots of combinations can equal this but its preference with each user)
Never use inside forward (as I think its too central, maybe use it if you have no good strikers but only if that)
I find that Oscar plays exceptionally well as an inside forward. He's won games on his own for me in my Roma save.
I always play two strikers, one as a deep lying forward, the other is a poacher.
Making sure the poacher has pace to burn.

I uselly play mine as Advanced playmaker, but I regularly change this to attacking midfielder. I never play my number 10 as a IF.
