Freak accident for Pochettino

After a Southampton training session on Tuesday, Pochettino collided with a lamp post leaving his Ferrari totally destroyed.

It is widely speculated that newly-appointed Southampton manager has been severely injured by this accident but no word has come from his entourage and we still await the verdict on how seriously hurt he was after such an accident.

Pochettino Resign

After his freak accident during the week, Pochettino has opted to resign from the role as Southampton manager.

Pochettino translator added: "He has resigned due to the best interests of the club as well as for his health"

Physically Pochettino is healthy from the traumatic experience during midweek but is suffering from shell shock from the recent accident and is said not to be mentally fit to be at a mangerial role at a club.

Nicola Cortese, Chairman of Southampton F.C, added " Everyone here at Southampton wishes Maurico a swift recovery, it is truly unfortunate what he has had to go through, we have received a magnitude of applications for the vacant role here at Southampton, and are flattered by the interest shown"

After the sudden resignation from Pochettino, a lot of interest has been sparked to the relatively small Southampton club,it is reported that the chairman has received over 5000 applicants for the job from across the world as well as gaining over 500,000 fans in the process.

This sudden burst in attention from the public has not only gained fans and applicants for the Job but offers for the club...

Alfred Taubman, an ex convict, as well a billionaire has been showing significant interest in buying Southampton Football Club.

Nicola Cortese added: "We are growing rapidly since the accident with Pochettino, whoever thought something good could come out of that! Yes, Alfred is interested but we will have the best interests of the fans at heart if we do come to a decision to sell the club."

Speculations of mild protesting has been occurring outside St Mary's Stadium stating they don't want "a convict anywhere near the holy ground"
