The past ten days have been crazy as we played City away and left the same day to Portugal to face Academica in the Europa four days later. We got to practice at the Porto grounds before our big game against my ex-employers.

Manchester City vs Spurs

1-1 FT
Holtby 62

Not a bad game but I felt with the amount of chances we had we could have pulled off a however narrow win. Which really would have boosted our confidence.

Academica vs Spurs

Holtby 32

Not a bad game all in all but again I feel we could have done way better and came away with a win. Still this leaves us at the top of the group with Leverkusen just below us. Before the game on the 8th I managed to sneak in and watch Porto's game against Malaga where Fernando scored the winner in the 77th. Perhaps one day I will return as a manager for the club again who knows.

Had my money on Spurs to beat Academica. Top anyways
It's been a while since an update and the Spurs and I have pushed on into December with our game tomorrow against West Brom. The last time I updated this was after the Europa game against Academica. Since then we have faced Southampton, Leverkusen, Stoke and West Ham. I can personally say that the reason for this taking so long is due to the factor of a busy schedule. Levy and I are already looking forward to January to add some depth.

After the string of poor performances away from home it was great to open up the hammers two nil adding confidence in places we needed it. I am sure I have said this before but I just can't get over the attacking force we have right now. Holtby and Rodrigo are putting them in left right and center and Gylfi is looking to take Holtby's spot. Its all good competition and I am extremely excited to see what level Holtby, Rodrigo and Gylfi will be on in the coming years.

Certainly promising. I particularly like Rodrigo
Can you post updates for Harry Kane and Dean Parrett, plus all the other youngsters? :D
Good story so far mate but only problem.....Your dirty spurs COYG FOYS HAHA Keep it up tho.

So as I am so far ahead further than my story, I find it more tedious than fun to write updates as I am not quite sure what I was thinking at times. So I am going to do a narrative update to where I currently am.

So during the transfer window we added Ola John and Ben Davies to the squad to bring even more depth as we really only had dempsey to cover on the wings. Along with Naughton as a LB when he's naturally a RB.
Keep on going with this Inq, you're a really good writer and I really enjoy reading your updates. Nice signings, I hope Ben Davies can turn into a star. Keep up the good work :)

This makes two of us!
Thanks both of you! Really means a lot! Updates are gonna be more frequent now and I am going to take more care on them
Ben Davies in particular is a bright signing! I think Ola John scored yesterday for Holland :P a deft chip over the onrushing keeper. Perhaps this bodes well for your future in the game :) Keep up the good work!

After a stale win against S.S Lazio a few weeks ago staged at the Stadio Olimpico only a week ago. The team and myself prepared for the second leg at home. Although the home advantage was there along with the away goal, we of all teams new that, that didn't matter once the whistle was blown. Lazio walked into that game with every chance of moving onto the next stage to face

Spurs vs S.S Lazio

I honestly thought this would be the outcome from the start. Due to the shifting in the formation for the game. I spoke to Dembele, Holtby and Vertonghen before the game about how the midfield was to be set up. Holtby was to play an advanced role as a CM while Moussa played a box to box midfielder to help support the attack and defence. Jan sat right behind those two in a DM position over powering anyone infront of the back four.

After the win. We drew Newcastle in the second knockout round. Mike Ashely you can once again adore your favoured team beat the team you own!

Our next match is against City at Home again. Hopefully we can pressure a win which could really disrupt the table.
Just looked at your transfers, and... why would Man United want Assou-Ekotto? :))

Good luck for the City game! Always tough opponents.
