Good evening all from all of us at Sky Sports we have breaking news the Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has resigned, leaving the club with no manager Les Reed is said to be taking charge at this time only temporarily.
Les Reed has released a statement this morning stating "We are currently looking for a more permanent manager to take my place,we apologize for this sudden decision from Mr Cortese, but he believed that keeping Mr Adkins would have seen us in a more vulnerable position by the time we hit the mid transfer, again we apologize but we will look tirelessly in the next few weeks to get a manager before the next season starts, and there for we ask the fans to stick by us and believe in us"

Who will the manager be ? what will this mean for the running of the team? can Les Reed fill in the gaps in Nigel Adkins place?

Find out soon and Thank you for reading

As the weeks gone by Southampton have appointed Roberto Miali as manager, the manager has no experience as a manager in the top division and the fans are furious with the decision that Mr Cortese made.

Mr Miali is italian and lives in Southampton and has lived their for over 24 years, Mr Miali stated that the love of the club, city and the people living in the beautiful city is what made him apply for the job and is over the moon that he has been successful.
He will be shown around and is straight to work with a friendly against the reserves coming up in less than a week.

Mr Miali stated " i am going to give everyone a chance so i can see how the players do on match day" all eyes were on him at the press conference, he then went on to say "any player not giving a 110% will be warming the bench i have no one slacking in my team, weather they are a top paid player or not i will have no problem in dropping then until there form changes or even gone from the club completely"
Some of the players would disagree with the mentality the manager had but the team need to progress as a club and the club's benefit is what Roberto Miali has in mind.

Please stay tuned for the friendly against Southampton FC reserves

And thank you for reading.
Really nice update :)

Good morning sports fans and welcome to Sky Sports, we have news of the new manager Roberto Miali in his first week in the office at St Marys Stadium.

As Roberto Miali just gone into his first week he had scheduled a meeting with his players introducing himself as the new manager, asking questions and discussing the future of the club and what he wanted to achieve as a whole.

The players had come out happy and were pleased with the first impression of the manager, mr Miali also called in Mr Reed his assistant manager and decided on a mutual termination of his contract and agreed to pay the remainder, upon asking why Mr Miali said that he did not feature in his current plans and it was time to part ways.

Roberto Miali wasted no time the next day in looking for a replacement but instead of placing an ad for a placement he had a person in mind, Matthew Le Tissier was that person and Matthew did not make any objections, Mr Miali new Le Tissier in his playing days with Southampton and he is the best candidate for the club as he has the same ambitions for the club Mr Miali stated.

The friendly came and gone with 1-0 to the senior side Do Prado's only goal was the difference.
Roberto Miali said after the match that his side had a few chances but he was also proud of his Reserves team holding off a good senior side, he then said that the 1-0 was a good result and reflected the overall game.

The next game friendly will be against Angers SCO.

Thank you for reading.
Good so far, keep it up :)

Good morning sports fans we have latest news on the new manager at the St Marys stadium, we have had a cracking few weeks with the team and yesterday afternoon saw the manager take charge in the first friendly against Angers SCO unfortunately they went with a loss, 4-2 was the final result,Ricky Lambert and Ramirez were the goal scorer's for Southampton.
But Angers were to much for the south side team to handle the manager showed his disappointment but did not get on there backs to much as it was a tough match and being the first friendly of the season there was alot to get to grips with, the manager, the new tactics also had them slightly change there roles.

A few changes in the squad had Roberto selling a few players Ward-Prowse, Ben Reeves, Gazzaniga, Aaron Martin and Isgrove.
He released a statement shortly after the departures of the players saying "these players have alot of talent but unfortunately, the roles that these players play in we have already in the first 11 and reserves that have established themselves already, and secondly we could not afford to keep such players with low caliber and high demand in wages".

Please stay tuned for the next friendly against Louhans-Cuiseaux.
Thank you for reading.
Hard luck losing against Angers. But you should win against Louhans-Cuiseaux. Good luck :)

Good afternoon all, we have the result from Southampton, they came away with a 2-0 win against cuiseaux, Southampton played magnificently against a strong side, with Lallana and Lambert scoring both in the second half.

They were in the front foot all along and it was a good win for them playing away also, Mr Miali had said in the interview " My men showed composure and did not give up, playing away against a stronger team is always going to be a tough ride, but playing on the counter showed no mercy to the opposition".

Then the interviewer also asked about Kelvin Davies future Roberto smiled and chuckled to himself and said "No comment"

Thank you for reading please tune in for the next fixture against USBCO.
Good luck mate. Liking the in-depth reports.

With two wins and one lose Southampton will be looking to tip the scale even more with a win against USBCO.
USBCO have won all three of the last friendly fixtures and are looking to extend their top run, Southampton are still improving on and off the pitch, with the recent departures of the players the fans are still somewhat dubious in who exactly Mr Miali has in his plans.
With the first half under way Rickie Lambert off injured through training and danny fox also out, Mr Miali is trying to find a link in his team in this match.

Up front with De Ridder is Do Prado and and the rest unchanged from the last game, USBCO start off to a flyer when then they get in the first goal in only the 3rd minute, Mr Miali is knowing this is going to be a long night.

By the 32nd minute Southampton were 2-0 down and Roberto was not pleased he had to make a change in something and it had to be quick.

The first half finished with a 2-0 lead from USBCO, Mr Miali had gotten Le Tissier to talk to the team, and also changed to a counter attack tactic with a fluid balance, hoping for the best and try to make amends.

The second half started and Southampton looked more stronger passing with more certainty, but unfortunately they got in the 3rd goal on the 55th minute of the game and sealing it at that. Southampton only had 6 shots at goal and USBCO had even less but made them count.

Final score USBCO 3-0 Southampton FC

Thank you for reading stay tuned for the next exciting rival fixture with a friendly against their neighbors Eastleigh.
