"news has been announced at Bloomfield road that Ian Holloway has departed Blackpool following their recent relegation. rumours have it that a number of names have been linked to the job, among them are Alan Shearer, Dave Jones and Malky Mackay.

Another linked with the job, although very much an outsider is recently appointed coach Alfred James, who at 25, is a young inexperienced manager, and is very much an unlikely target for Blackpool to appoint. More on the story as it develops"
Good luck with this m8 :)

Reinforcing of the chassis

"Blackpool have been busy at work over the last few weeks. Firstly Ian Holloway left Bloomfield road, following rumours of a booze cruise with Tom Jones, Will I am and Sacha Baron-Cohen, which Holloway refused to comment about. People were left fearing the worst until Alfred James made an entrance and the 25 year old was appointed manager of the Tangerine's:

Name: Alfred James
D.O.B: 14th February 1986
Nationalities: Scottish, Welsh
International Career: Uncapped
Professional Career: Kingston Athletic 2002-2010
Chelsford Athletic 2010-2011
Supports: Liverpool
Speaks: English and Welsh
Regional reputation.

The scot said to reporters "I am happy to take on the manager role of a big club. I know I may seem a bit inexperienced but I hope to make an instant impact on the Blackpool front, and take them back to the premier league straight away."

And he means business letting 4 players go on frees, and one on loan. Mark Howard, Mark Halstead, Miguel Llera and Matt Hill have all been released while Craig Sutherland has moved to TNS on loan. Meanwhile, in comes 7 new players, that James clearly thinks will boost the side relegated in may. Lets introduce them:
1: Ben Amos Manchester United £575 k
Ben Amos hasn't really hit his career off at Manchester United. But James who is only four years Amos's senior says that the goalkeeper has potential to be on par with players like David Seaman and Joe Hart. We shall see whether he gets to the heights that his manager is talking of.

2: Radoslaw Majewski Nottingham Forest £800 k
Transfer listed by Nottingham Forest, this polish international had been a top performer for the Forest. But, something must of happened for him to be moved on. James said that the player adds some depth and raw talent to midfield, and hopes that he can boost their promotion push.

3: Jay Spearing Liverpool £725 k
A player regarded by me personally as a Liverpool player who should of made the cut but unforunately hasn't. A shame for Liverpool, but not for Blackpool. This player was rumoured to be joining Southampton, but James snuck in with a late offer, and the midfielder now is part of the Blackpool midfield.

4: Ryo Miyaichi Arsenal Loan
A top quality asian youngster, viewed by many as having a future at Arsenal, as a player as good as Pires, Ljungburg and Henry. James said to us "What do you mean potential to be great? I don't sign anyone without them being great".

5: Chris Wood West Brom Loan
James has been quoted as saying "Wood is the new zealand Wayne Rooney" If he doesn't live up to the talent of Rooney then James will be regard as a lier, but he certainly has been doing well for both club and country.

6: Marco Materazzi Free Transfer
Marco Matrerazzi. Known as the man headbutted by Zidane, but also as a top quality defender, having played for some of the biggest clubs in italy. No wonder James has snapped this world cup winning defender.

7: Stephen Dobbie Swansea £875 k
Dobbie has already won promotion with Blackpool, and then Swansea. But suddenly unwanted by the playoff winning Swans, Blackpool added him to the squad with the player looking to win a third straight promotion. Can he?

However, despite the good signings, critics still think that Alfred James's lack of management skills will hinder his side's chances of winning the title. Alan Hansen has said....

"'Oh who cares?' I say as I turn off that stupid show. They had been quoted as saying things about me in the past. It's always the same "James not good enough to play for Kingston Athletic" we where 5th and then I scored in 12 successive games and we won the title. "Chelmsford sign "past it" James. Ok so my knee injuries where catching up with me, but I still played every game that season as Chelmsford won promotion. Stupid Critics. I know exactly what Hansen would say "he is younger than half of his players. How can he influence them to be good, when they are more experienced than him? OH SHUT UP HANSEN! I know you where a quality defender back in the day, but I remember "You won't win anything with Kids" United proved you wrong, and so will I!
