Roberto Martinez leaves Wigan after dispute

Experienced manager Roberto Martinez has been sacked by the Wigan chairman and board after three years of Premier League survival. Dave Whelan, current Wigan chairman, is said to be 'tired' of the club playing in the relegation places throughout the season. The chairman assured the fans that this was the right call for the club. The chairman said," Over the last two and three years, we are hovering through the relegation places." Whelan added," The club needs to move forward. We have to get ways to earn more money and the Europa League can do that for us."
Roberto Martinez took over the Wigan side after their recent stay at England's top division: The Premier League.
There are several big rumours are circulating around online, but the most popular seems to be that Martinez had a dispute with the chairman, Dave Whelan, and was immediately relieved of his duties.
Wigan will now be looking for a new manager, with the favourites being their former manager, Paul Jewell, Steve Bruce and Roberto di Matteo, but it has been said that former Arsenal and Bolton player Fabrice Muamba has claimed interest in the job.
