What now for Lewandowski?

Early this week on a cold Wednesday night in Borussia, Germany Robert Lewandowski wrote himself into Champions League folklore as he hit four past Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League Semi-Final, he has shown the world how good he is and why teams such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are after him and after such an emphatic performance the cards are well and truly in Lewandowski’s hands so what next for the Polish hotshot?
According to reports it is strongly believed that Lewandowski has turned down contracts offers for Borussia Dortmund and is desperate to leave this summer for a ‘bigger’ club. This is bemused many football fans as you cannot get much bigger than the Champions League final elects and two league titles in the last three seasons. To leave for a bigger club the teams he is interested can only be the elites of world football such as the Manchester United’s and Munich. But on the other hand why should he want to leave Dortmund? They have everything going for them; young up and coming squad, world class talent throughout the entire team, best fan base in Europe and one of the best managers in Europe Jurgen Klopp. They do say the grass is always greener but it will be difficult to get a much more green turf than Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park, but he will be leaving behind a very loyal fan base who worships him.
Last night news broke from a German newspaper that reported on Mario Gotze going to Munich 24 hours before most major sports broadcasters such as the BBC and Sky Sports, reported that Lewandowski had accepted an offer to go to arch-rivals Bayern Muncih with teammate Mario gotze. However reports this morning from slightly less trustworthy sports newspapers such as The Guardian have claimed Lewandowski as reiterated he does not want to go to Bayern Munich. But whatever story is true the question still is Bayern Munich a big enough step up for Lewandowski? The answer is a resounding yes! They have dominated the Bundesliga and have already secured the title with a few games to go, are 20 points clear and have a stunning goal difference of +75 and what adds to all of this is their displays in the Champions League of late, as they have like Dortmund more or less secured their place in the Champions League Final with another leg to play. Who did they so easily destroy? The team that is thought of as the best team to ever grace the football field, F.C Barcelona. They kept Messi quite throughout the entire game and did not allow their playmakers such as Xavi and Iniesta any time to play those deadly pin point passes and, to round it all off they scored four in the process. So Munich has the potential to dominate football for the next few years so why should Lewandowski not want to go? Because of his apparent love for Manchester United.
Many reports have claimed the Lewandowski will constantly turn down Bayern Munich to try and get a move to Old Trafford and a chance to play with players such as RVP, Rooney, Giggs and his old mate Shinji Kagawa. With constant reports claiming Rooney will be going to PSG this summer Sir Alex Ferguson will need to find a replacement and in my view Lewandowski is head and shoulders better than Falcao. Manchester United has everything Lewandowski claims to want in a football team; a great young squad, money, history, big rivalries and a very intense league. Everything Lewandowski dreams of in a football club is right here in England, at the home of the champions.
It is my view however that despite being a passionate Manchester United fan and a huge admirer of Robert Lewandowski he would be better off a Munich. I think he should stay with Borussia Dortmund but since he seems insistent of leaving then I think Bayern Munich is by far the best option for him. Unlike United Bayern Munich may not only win the Champions League this season but may even be able to win the title for several years to come if they continue how they are. With that in mind it is apparent that Lewandowski’s future should be at the German champions Bayern Munich.
