It was announced today that Colombian star centre-back Luis Perea has broken his jaw and is likely to be out for 3 weeks. Alexis Henriquez has been called up as a replacement.

Yeh it will be hard without Falcao but it will give me a chance to test out other players. And I don't know what Guttierez has been up to

Colombia were lucky to draw against a strong Ivory Coast team today. John Smith's first game got off to flyer as Teófilo Gutiérrez scored within the first 5 minutes. Gutiérrez then missed a penalty which turned out to be a game changer as Ivory Coast fought back and dominated the game after this point. The game was still fairly quiet up until the 76th minute when Didier Zokora poked home to get his side an equaliser. The match again turned quiet after this and the match finished in a 1-1 draw.

John Smith's side's next game is Uruguay in 4 months time against Uruguay in a World Cup Qualifier.
