Hi, so I was pretty happy, I got promoted to the Premier League in one season with Rovers after only signing one player (Sam Ricketts). I was defensively solid and scored goals... Rovers have a pretty good team for the Championship, so with a bit of tact. and some half decent managing, promotion was always on the cards.

Anyway, I played a 4-4-2, attacking mentality, on CM as a BWM, the rest pretty standard.

Now I'm in the Prem., I've made some new signings (nothing major as you still don't get that much money to spend after promotion) I sold Martin Olsson for £16m, and bought two or three half decent players with that.

Anyway, my point is, I still play a 4-4-2, normal mentality, but I can't stop conceding... First game of the season vs. Chelsea, I lost 9-2, 4-0 against Arsenal, 5-0 against United and no offence to West Ham fans, but they beat me 4-2, and I'm sure I shouldn't be conceding that much. Granted I could do with a new right back, but apart from that, stats-wise my defence is solid enough.

Does anybody have any pointers tactics-wise, I realise that without print screens etc., it's harder to say, but I'll welcome any past-experience from promoted teams, or any "lower half prem. team".

Thanks in advance,

My experience, with Middlesbrough, is that you should change to counter against the big teams, and make sure that 1) You have a good striker, to rely on for goals. And 2) Make sure you don't have any obvious weak points, like you mention the right back. 3) You make some new tactics, for the bigger opposition. Hope this helped :)
It's quite realistic to be honest. If your team is weak for the prem and your tactics aren't unbeatable, then you're gonna have a bad time.
