Good luck with the mighty Reds. How does that work though - does getting sacked by Everton increase your popularity with the Liverpool board? :P
Liverpool's way of saying 'thank you' for ruining Everton's season!

Just joking mate :P Although you'd better not screw up unless you want severe physical harm (not joking :D )

I think that is my motivation to do well, their 10th now and they sacked rodgers so I need top 7 at least

Seems it, maybe I should do a Utd load, get them relegated and get the City job hahaha!

Martinez Makes A Good Start

Southampton 1-2 Liverpool

A good 3 points away at Southampton who Rodgers was defeated by at home in the first game. Sterling, who had a pretty poor season under Rodgers, grabbed two against the Saints with a excellent goal for his second. A game to build on for Martinez's men.
Good first result. Unlucky with everton. maybe the big losses didn't help ;) and losing to norwich at home but good luck with liverpool. i have a save with that and its very fun :)

Thanks, it's a weird one but hopefully Liverpool will be for the long run

Results & Fixtures

Premier League Notes

A tough month for the league really, the two home games against Reading and West Brom however were expected wins and Martinez's men came out as expected. 6 more points. Tottenham and Chelsea away were the next two games in a tight schedule which players struggled to get through. However, their high fitness payed off and two draws were good results for Martinez. Roberto is now hoping to leap frog Swansea to 7th in the run-in to the end of the season. However, with Man City, Everton and Sunderland to come it will be a hard task for Liverpool.

Euro Cup Update

Winning 1-0 against Napoli away in the first leg of the quarters were a great result for Roberto Martinez and his team and they just needed to hold on at home, which they did with a 1-1 draw. (through on aggregate 2-1)

The very tough opposition in Tottenham were up next and the first leg was a bad one. At Anfield Martinez's boys needed a win to have a chance of the final but lost 2-1. A very tricky away fixture at White Hart Lane needed to result in a 2+goal win.

AMAZING. Martinez and Liverpool did it in remarkable fashion despite expecting to go out in the semi's. Agger and Lucas sent Liverpool to a amazing 2-0 head start to lead by 1 goal withing 10 minutes. Liverpool just needed to defend out the rest of the game. However, Martinez had other ideas and told his side to keep going forward. Which gave amazing results as Luis Suarez adds another two goals within the hour mark to make it 4-0(5-3 on aggregate). Kyle Walker then had a goal disallowed to prevent a Tottenham come back. He eventually scored on the 70th minute but it was too late. Liverpool are through to the final! Liverpool will face PSG.
Not the best of seasons but the last results are good and you are doing very well in Europe. I like your writing style too, keep it up ;)
Great Story. Going strong in Europe. Keep it up mate!
Thanks guys, hard game against PSG but hopefully I will win my first silverware.

Giving Arsenal The Title

Liverpool 2-1 Man City

Arsenal with 3 games remaining were 6 points clear, a loss for city would mean they would be champions for the first time since the "invincibles". However, things were going the worst way after 24 minutes as Gareth Barry put Man City into the lead. A hour gone, Martinez decides it's time for a change and puts Borini on for the booked Suarez which pays off as he draws it level on the 66th minute. Central midfielder Lucas then makes it a comeback for liverpool as he puts them 2-1 up on the 82nd minute to put the Liverpool and Arsenal fans into celebration mode. Great win. Arsenal are confirmed as the Champions of England.

However, Man City beat Arsenal in the FA Cup final 2-1. Pellegrini's first silverware as City boss. Also, Man City are looking forward to playing Barcelona in the Champions league final in a few weeks time.

Merseyside is RED

Everton 0-2

Martinez's first game back at Everton was a great one in the Merseyside derby. Liverpool was awarded a pen in the 16th minute that Gerrard obviously converted. One minute later the match was wrapped up with a Suarez goal. One of Martinez's signings at Goodison Park, McCarthy, then got sent off in the 86th minute. Revenge is sweet for Roberto against the team who sacked him. Euro Cup Final next.
