Back from the Bahamas and still no managers under pressure in the leagues I am aiming to manage in so I thought it would be a good idea to provide regular updates on the major stories and the league tables of English football.
- A bit of an interesting appointment to say the least. Did well in his first season at Sunderland to take them into the Premier League, but later resigned as manager of the Black Cats when they were beaten 4-1 by Bolton at the Stadium of Light. Was also sacked as manager of Ipswich Town. Now the new Coventry City manager.
- Bolton Wanderers sign Reading midfielder Jay Tabb. Decent signing in my opinion, showed at Ipswich in real life that he can be a decent Championship player.
- Premier Division league table after the first 3 games. Wigan have made a great start, Spurs not so much.
- npower Championship league table after the first 4 games. Perfect start for Wolves, awful start for Bolton. Barnsley, Crystal Palace and Huddersfield make up the bottom three.
- npower League One table after the first 4 games. Roy Keane looks to have made a good start at the Ricoh Arena. Sheffield United have started poorly. Notts County, Bury, Portsmouth and Yeovil Town are in the relegation zone.
- npower League Two table after the first 4 games. Plymouth unbeaten, Rochdale and Barnet in the two relegation positions.
- Blue Square Bet Premier league table after 6 games. Cambridge United the only unbeaten side in the division, whilst Nuneaton Town, Gateshead, Ebbsfleet United and Woking in the relegation zone.
- Blue Square Bet North league table after 5 games. Suprisingly Vauxhall the early pace-setters. Oxford City, Bradford Park Avenue and Workington in the bottom three.
- Blue Square Bet South league table ater 5 games. Tonbridge Angels have started brilliantly whilst Hayes & Yeading, Billericay and Truro City are in the relegation zone.
