Villarreal Sack Marcelino

Spanish side Villarreal have today sacked their manager Marcelino Garcia Toral after he made unacceptable remarks about the clubs recent relegation to the press. Toral was only appointed a week ago so fans will be wondering if this is the wise choice for the club as they look to build a side to return to La Liga and then be one of the big boys in that league. Nothing has been said yet from Spain about a possible replacement, but it is said bookmakers Ladbrokes will soon begin to start taking bets for the clubs new manager.

Good luck. I really like Villareal and I could see them in the Champions League in no time.
Good luck coaching my feeder club :D
And a Spanish story not about Barcelona or Real will be great to read.
Best of luck Mr. Baggies
I know, my only problem is the wages. A few players have too high wages and i need to get rid of them as quick as i can so i can sign players.
Good luck with this Baggies :)
Thanks Blue and Randy! It should be fun as i always had a soft spot for Villareal, even though Madrid are my favourite Spanish team.
Haven't seen anybody doing a Villereal story so will be following this with keen interest

Ladbrokes Release Odds For Villarreal Manager

Bookmakers today released their list for the odds on who will become the new manager of Spanish side Villarreal. With the club currently going through a crisis relating to on field performances and off field with finances, the clubs newly appointed manager was sacked just a week into the job. Roberto Di Matteo is the favourite at 5/1, whereas recently sacked boss Marcelino is at 10/1 to make a shock return after recent meetings with the board. Gus Poyet is at 15/1 to move from Brighton, and outsider rookie James Heyhoe is at 25/1 as Villarreal are frantically trying to rebuild a side that can take them back to La Liga.
Di Matteo sounds like a good shout to me, good luck with this story, i'll be following it with keen interest

Villarreal Appoint Rookie

Villarreal today hired 25 year old rookie James Heyhoe as their manager. The Yellow Submarine fans were hoping for a more experienced manager to take over as the club aims for a La Liga return in the next few seasons, but not only does this appointment give Heyhoe the opportunity to grow his reputation as a manager, he could also help the club gain stability and turn the team into European contenders depending on how long he stays. Heyhoe has been initially appointed on a 1 year deal worth around £9,250 per week and has been asked to play attacking football. It is believed that the fans are willing to be patient, but the question is, can Heyhoe get Villarreal back where they belong?
not even 10000 a week:O you would think that at villar you would earn slightly more then that :P
congrats on the appointment and may the name of James be sung by every Yellow Submariner after the 1st season
Never heard of him ;) should be interesting to see how he does!
Good luck mate! :)
Great start mate, I'm looking forward to this! :)
Isn't he the manager who went to.. no, nevermind. :P
