Well, the unknown manager G Dyke has begun his journey to the top by applying for multiple jobs from Lokomotiv Moscow to Houston Dynamo. Only 1 club accepted : Olimpo. An Argentinian Second division team currently in a relegation dogfight with every Centre Midfield injured and 17k over their wage bill he has a lot of work to do. Challenge accepted.
Sounds like quite a difficult challenge. Good luck.

This is the quality there is between the sticks. It isn't even the transfer window so Champagne it is then. Terrific.
Well then, 4 matches in and 4 points out a possible 12 has dragged us out of the relegation zone into 11th however at the moment nothing is certain as Olimpo have to face all of the top 6 in their next 7 matches. The keeping has been appalling and in the last match a 5-2 demolition of my team by the bottom team has caused for G Dyke to hurl abuse at his players and sack his assistant manager.

Three Games Left

Olimpo are now definitely clear of relegation but the manager G Dyke has now been challenge with a finish above 10th place. With 2 away games and their form stuttering this could be an uphill challenge.

Transfer Window

The Argentinian transfer window has opened and Olimpa have been quick to act with four immediate signings to replace the injuries to loan players in the squad including top scorer Soto Torres.

Hell of a challenge, good luck and i'll be watching this unfold with interest :)

Match 36

Olimpo lost 4-2 at home to Douglas Haig on Matchday 46, leaving them 13th in the table. They gave up a 2 goal lead and two soft goals have left them without a win in 4 matches.

They have now lost 3 out of their last 5 home matches. The fans have voiced their concerns and G Dyke has to take evasive action to remain at his post.

Not bad mate!
This is a tough challenge mate but good luck! If you turn it around you could be a legend
Thanks for the replies everyone! :D

Match 37

Olimpo were 4-0 down after 36 minutes but a penalty in the 43rd and a goal from a corner in the 49th put a glimmer of hope in the Olimpo faithful and their under pressure manager G Dyke.

Reports from the Olimpo traning ground indicate that a team meeting was held by G Dyke to raise the morale of his squad for the last game as if results go their way they could finish 13th.

Match 38

Olimpo drew 2-2 with the Argentinian Division 2 Champions Banfield, leaving them 14th in the table and with manager G Dyke with some thinking to do for next season. If he remains at Olimpo.

Season Conclusion

Manager G Dyke has spent 3 months with Olimpo and has dragged them out of the relegation zone, but is that enough for him to keep his job? If he does, expect some serious work to be done on the squad that has simply underperformed this season.

G Dyke's Stats

End of Season Review

It does look like G Dyke has kept his job, however word from Olimpo is that he will have to achieve at least a top 6 finish next season. As he signed a contract for 2 years when he first joined they may not renew it if this target is not reached. Considering he has only won 23% of his matches the board have to expect more of their manager, no matter how experienced he is.

Breaking News

G Dyke has been offered a new two year contract at £1,900 a week with Olimpo. Word is that he has accepted the offer, the young manager's future looks bright in Argentina.

The Transfer Market (In)

G Dyke was busy in this window, bringing in 8 players, all from South America, to strengthen the Olimpo team. He spent 120k on Christian, although the transfer was handled by the board as they realised his superior talent.

The Transfer Market (Out)

G Dyke cleared out the Olimpo deadwood to make room for his new signings. Many younger and less able players were released but some first team players went as well, such as Carlos Recalde. No less than 17 players were released from Olimpo in this transfer window, a risky decision by G Dyke.
