Furguson who looked delighted that he is back in management has said that he made a wrong decision in retiring. Randy Lerner is thought to have offered him a warchest to attack the transfer market. It is thought Furguson will have a complete re-evaluation of the backroom staff and is looking forward to taking Aston Villa onto the next level.
'I am going to really take Aston Villa onto the next level and there are players that will move on and will be new players coming in. Aston Villa have a wonderful youth academy and I will look into moving some players upto the reserve team squad and the first team squad.' said Sir Alex.

Lerner Announces Transfer Budget for new Aston Villa Manager

Today Randy Lerner backed up his promise to Sir Alex and gave him a £55m transfer budget and 100% of funds from selling players on top.
Ferguson who today said that atleast 8 players will be leaving, indicated that Darren Bent will be one of them along with Shay Given and Richard Dunne.
He is however remaining tight lipped on who will be coming in but said to expect 2 big signings atleast.

The Rumour Mill are suggesting that Wellington Nem, Will Hughes, Jack Cork and also Phil Neville are being tipped to move across to Birmingham in the near future.
One thing for sure, The sheer presence of Sir Alex will mean Villa just might sign these decent players and the future looks good for the team.
Bit more than what you'd usually receive with Villa :P

Yes it is but this is the legend that is Sir Alex Ferguson

Jonas Gutierrez Joins Aston Villa

Sir Alex Ferguson has made former Newcastle left midfielder Jonas Gutierrez his first signing.
Gutierrez who started his career at Valez in Argentina's Premier league then made the move from Argentina to Spain to join Real Mallorca for £2.4m and played 96 times in 3 seasons before the Magpies came calling for £4.1m. Rumours suggest he fell out of love with Alan Pardew and decided after 141 Appearances and 9 goals that it was time for a change so moved to Aston Villa for £10.25m.

Sir Alex was all smiles and said that Jonas will bring some much needed experiance to the team. 'He is a very accomplished player, has a high work rate and knows how to be a team player.' said Sir Alex. 'He is a mazey dribbler of the ball too and I fully expect him to be a hit with the fans'.
Sir Alex then said that he expects a few more signings in the next few days.
£55 million to spend, not bad at all :D nice signing in Gutierrez, i think you should look at signing Mattheus mate :D

Two More In At Villa

Aston Villa today secured two more players.

First in for £22.5m is Aiden Mcgeady from Spartak Moscow. The Irishman who played for Celtic for 6 years before spending two years at Spartak Moscow. Mcgeady moves across to the midlands with a big price tag. Sir Alex who has been busy also picked up a guy he was interested in signing at Manchester United.

Andre Ayew joins from OM for £15m. He played for OM all his career and Sir Alex has said that Andre could be a very, very exciting player for the midlands club.
With players expected to depart, Rumour has it that Wellington Nem is also awaiting a work permit to join the Villans.

Alex Ferguson said this to the gathered press. Andre and Aiden are going to be huge hits for the club and probably with the fans. Ayew is strong for his age and definately one to watch for the future. Aiden has shown he can perform on the biggest stage and I am fully expecting him and Jonas to be wonderful on the wings for Villa this season.

Sir Alex also said that the Nem deal should also go through too.
Loving the story and the freedom to make transfers, will be following and good luck for your 1st season :) 14th title for Fergie here you go!
