My Chance

As I sit down and I wonder what am I going to do now that I have my badges, I always wanted to be a manager ever since the Football manager games I knew that is what I wanted to, so I have put my name down on the managers list all I have to do now is wait, send a few C.Vs and hope for the best, I don’t mind were I go could be any were in the world and I would go.

After about 3 weeks of waiting I got an interview it’s in Spain for a club call Real Jean they play in the second division B4, I have done a back round check on them and to be honest it will be a challenge with them, if I got the job it will be a lot of work need with the team to start moving up the ladder.

Had my interview today and it went really well I think so any ways the staff and owner are really nice people I told them what I thought about the team and were we could go with the right manager, and they seem to agree with me, we need to build a good fan base, use are youths and get in a healthy finance going to start moving up, it’s not just going to happen overnight. If I am given the job don’t think that everything will happen just like that. And club owner Rafael Terual agreed with what I was saying.

Rafael Terual

Ok so two days after the interview I get a call from Rafael, Jason we are pleased to say that we would like to offer you the position of manager at the club we feel with you hear we could grow as a club and move forward. We will offer you a one year deal to start off on 1,900 a week and we hope you would accept it. We don’t want to rush you so you have until tomorrow to make up your mind. That’s ok I won’t need time to think about it I will take the job I have a good feeling that we will have a good relationship and we can take the team to new heights. That’s Great Jason we will see you on Monday morning, Ok see you then.

I can’t believe it my first management job, I hope all goes well and I don’t flop it’s going to be hard work to get this team ready but I am sure if I stick bye them they will become the next Barcelona well that’s what I want to turn them into the biggest team in Spain, well only time will tell.
Good luck with this! And did anyone else notice the "Cazorla" sponsor in the background of that picture? o_O
Best of luck! It would be great to see you topple the Spanish giants.

Day One

Real Jaén Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. is a Spanish football team based in Jaén, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Founded in 1922, it plays in Segunda División B - Group 4, holding home matches at Nuevo Estadio de La Victoria, with a capacity of 12,800 spectators.

As I sit down in my office after a hard day training and looking over the players there are a few players hear that are really good but there are also a few that should not be playing for this club over the next few days I am going to talk to all the players and tell them my plans, and also tell them who fits in and who does not. There will be a few changes and also there will be a few new faces coming into the team with a 79k transfer fund I am sure I can get 3 our four new players in.

The staff hear all seem like they want to help me get to were I want this club to go, but just to make sure I will have a chat with all of them and see what they want out of the club and maybe there might be a few new staff members coming into help the club grow. I want this team to grow and go very high but we are going to need to make changes and that is why I am the hear.

Season One Goals

My goals for the first season are as follows

Youth Team
I want to bring players up from the youth team, save the club money and develop are own players but as I look in the youth team now there is only one player that could make it so am going to have to get that sorted with the broad they are going to need to invest in are younger stars.

Fan Base
I want are fan base to grow if we can get that to happen we can make more money and in the long run we can upgrade are training and youth and also sell out are stadiums, this will be a big challenge.

League
In season one I am not looking for a big step I just want the team to finish mid table and show the other teams that we are growing as a club if we can do this in maybe two years we can get promotion. This is one of my main goals.

Deadwood
Over the rest of the season I will be looking at everything that happens within the club and the people that don’t pull the weight will be gone. We can’t have lazy people at the club if we want to grow.

Contract
I want to get a longer Deal at the club and the only way this will work is if we play well as a team so we will see how that goes.
Nice typo, calling the board a "broad". This'll be interesting and I hope you do well!
Some realistic targets there mate, hope you can achieve them and maybe even launch a promotion push! :)
The stadium is in the middle of nowhere lol
Great idea King, good to see something different. Interesting goals that seem very realistic. Will be following.
A great challenge here mate but good luck!
Best of luck with this story King.

This is one I will be following closely.
Good luck
Loved your Sunderland story so hopefully this one can be as good. Good luck King!

So Far

As I sit down and go over the Pre-season i look over what I have done over the last month and it’s not a lot really, the first thing I did was go onto the board room and I told them we needed the youth Facilities upgraded if we want to grow our own young players and to my surprise they agreed with me so 350k over 16 weeks to build that worked out. Next in line was to sell a lot more season tickets than we did last year this would be hard and after looking back we sold an extra 350 witch is a good step in the right direction.

After given the team a good look over I realised I need 5 new players to give us that little bit extra and with 25k wage budget and already using 23k out of that I asked the board for a little bit extra they agreed and put it up to 31k. So with that I was able to bring in some new players to give the team that little bit more.

With the dead wood that was around the team I looked at them some more and found that they would be good players for my B team so I dropped them down there and will see how they get on hopefully there can improve and maybe make their way back into the first team. With staff I let one go and brought one new member in a coach to help us out.

Next Update will be all transfers and what tactics I will be using..
Good luck :)
