Bad players

This thread can be for players whom on paper should be good footballers but on the pitch they constantly let you down. If your've tore your hair out and screamed their name in anger then add them here!

This bloke gives away crucial penalties, or bad positioning leading to a goal etc Very error prone!. His very average speed and low Concentration really make him a liability anywhere but the air.

i have only been playing with AIK, so i dont really have any players to say that are bad in FM 09.

But Dunne in real life is like that as well. at times a good defender but mostly making costly mistakes.

I don't have players that are absolutly rubbish, just some that are really inconsistant which is really frustrating. Like Berbatov... Sometimes he's brilliant and just plays their defence apart but on other days he misses everything. From 5 meters he is able to shoot the ball to the corner flag:dontgetit:|:con

LCAM he is stupidly bad, not got a rating over 6 for me it is november and i transfer listed him in october! wijnaldum is the first team starter instead,
also Fabregas and Adebayor, all my youngsters are out performing them, played 19
with my youngsters, won 15, drawn 3 and lost 1! i dont need these superstars, they are all transfer listed

Wow really? Samir Nasri for me has been outstanding, Start of January he has an average of a goal every two games and fair few assists, rating of 7.23 i believe. Fabregas to has his fair share of assists for me. Agree with Adebayor though, Vela improves amazingly and has easily become my first choice striker.

Gareth McAuley hes awful on the game for some reason. Good player in real life! Alex Bruce gets unbelieveable amounts of cards. Played 15 games for me got 13 yellows and 4 reds.

yeh i agree about McAuley, i dont think they have updated his stats. hes been doing well at ipswich.

thing with ivan campo is that you got to discipline him, first red card give him a warning. second take away his wages for 1 week and so on.

usually it helps from the start. usually when u do that to agressive players their aggression will drop slightly.

But overall as ur stats as a manager affect the team as well.

If u have 20 in discipline in the end ur team wont get too many cards.

and usually its only the first 1-3 seasons u will have a bit of troubles with some players getting too many cards. But if u keep up with the discipline then the team will control themselves better on the pitch.

Another thing that SI have failed to do is check the players wages cause i can gurantee you that Campo is not on 14k and Richard Wright is not on 15k or Lisbie on 8k!

yeh but those informations are personal as well so they wont get that right on most of the players. they just do a "round about".

and in the end that doesnt matter too much either to be honest.

btw thanks for reminding, i just started my yearly ipswich game, i always do that when i play FM. so here we go, i will tick the box so i cant make transfers in the first window. That makes it a bit more realistic and fun.

Good lad! Cant beat trying out you combine harvester every year let me know if you find any decent players for them. Trouble you will find with Ipswich is keeping the wage budget under control. Its horrendous! All big wages that you cant offload except for Volz who i always send back.

well i have only signed De La Cruz and Gerard(not the scouse bastard haha, its the 29 yo spanish midfielder) on a free. as i started without transfers in the first window i have 0 in budget. And thats why im still in control of my wage budget.

I think i can at least make it to the play offs without buying anyone this season.

Oh, and i also offered a loan offer to that guy brazilian guy in man city. Gauber i think it was.

i have yet to start the season against derby. so i shall see how it goes.
