Foreign Consortium Plan Portsmouth Takeover

A consortium led by a Columbian millionaire has made a formal bid to purchase Portsmouth FC. The struggling club are in need of investment and this will come as music to the ears of Pompy fans. Manager Sol Campbell met with the current chairman of Portsmouth to speak to the keen investor. Sol spoke little about the meeting but said that he wanted to get the club out of administration and wanted to invest in the club and take the club forward. If this takeover is completed then Portsmouth will be favourites for promotion this season.
Nice start wellsy, keep it up :)

Portsmuth Takeover Complete

The takeover of Portsmouth FC has been completed. Pimenta Machado has brought the club for a fee believed to be around £6M and has released details that he has invested £1.4M into the club. Unfortunately Portsmouth are not our of administration yet but reports suggest that the club are making a strong profit already. But there is bad news. Club leader Richardo Rocha has been sold to Leeds for a fee of £130K. Fans are upset but they know they have to sell players to keep their club afloat.
Love the opening post, and it's an excellent start. Good luck Wells! :)
Definitely a hard challenge with Pompy but a good start mate keep it up

very good start to this story. Big fan of Sol and feel for Pompey's financial woes so this is a must follow for me :)
A great start to this story, love the background - current time transition and Big Sol is a legend to all fans of football in general, can't wait to see what him and his colombian backers can do to resurrect this fallen giant of a club.
Best of luck to you sir.

The Season Objectives

I entered the old and worn boardroom and sat down with the new chairman to discuss the plan of action for this season.
“Welcome to the club” I said.
“It’s great to be here and help out. Before we discuss the team we need to get out of administration. We need to sort this mess out”.
“Agreed”, I replied. “I can’t sign anyone and this squad would struggle in non-league”.
“Well if you are relegated this season you can still take charge of the club. We know how difficult it will be for you Sol so we will be patient with you if you are patient with the club. I am giving you a really good budget and that should be sufficient enough for the team to survive but we must wait until we exit administration. Even then though we don’t want you to spend too much”.
“Well I am happy with that so I promise to try hard and keep the club up”.

It was a very constructive meting and I believe the future of the club is in safe hands.

Portsmouth Exit Administration

Portsmouth FC has confirmed they are out of administration. The club released a statement saying that the new chairman has invested significant money into the club and will now be able to run on a normal basis. This comes as music to manager Sol Campbell’s ears as he will now be able to sign players again and with the new chairman giving him big funds to sign players that can keep the team up this season.
