Great start to your first story! Odiah looks great and I think you can do well this season :) And that's a nice banner you've made too :D

Louis O. Thanks I'm writing it kind of in the same style as your Boro/Fulham/Southampton one. He is great for Nacional, as the squad is pretty average when I first started. And thanks :) , I like Photoshop so I just make my own on there :D
God start to the story. Easy to read and easy on the eye.

I would properly stay with one story. Juggling two stories at the same time is difficult and instead of one great story you will end up with two mediocre stories.

Northwood Thanks for the advice I will take that into account :D

The Team

I walked into my office at the training complex, for the first time. I sat down and looked out the window. It was a spectacular view, looking over the Estadio da Madeira and the sea separating the island of Madeira from mainland Portugal.

He sat down in the black leather chair at his desk and quickly scanned over the A Bola newspaper before opening his laptop. He opened up his mail and sure enough he had two new messages.

One was from his assistant manager, Basquilio Marques, and he had written down his opinions on the squad's strength. I trusted Marques' decisions as I thought he was more than capable of being an assistant manager.

I opened the attachment and looked at it. I was gutted. The depth and strength was abysmal. There were definately some positions that could use strengthening. I looked at it again, just to make sure I wasn't seeing it differently, but I wasn't.

Zanetti Signs For Nacional

Nacional manager Bruno Patacas added some much needed experience and backup to the Nacional da Madeira with the signing of 35 year-old Italian Cristian Zanetti.

"We need some backup and experience, Cristian provides just that," explained Patacas. "He can even play a part in the squad, he can pass the ball, shoot and he has great leadership qualities too," the Nacional manager added.

Though Zanetti is susceptible to injuries, the manager has faith he will stay clear of them. "With the right training program and match time, we can cope with Zanetti's injury problems."

Zanetti should be a good signing for you. Keep up the great work and good luck with the start of the season.

Tactics

When I came to this club, on the first press conference I promised the fans, attractive, passing football. Always in control of the match. Not necessarily the most attacking football, but not defensive either.

I want short passing, control of the match, players being fluid, attackers being able to make play, midfielders who can finish, defenders who can pass and midfielders who can defend. This is what I am trying to achieve.

This is my plan for the club and I believe it is the future of the club. The results may not come instantly, I suspect it might take a couple of seasons to really start playing at out full capabilities.

I got to my desk and sketched up some plans on what formation to use and some instructions. After half an hour at my desk, I stood up, dusted all the eraser rubbings and sharpenings off my suit and pants and looked at my final plan.

I was happy with this, it was a great formation, one of my favoured ones, and it could easily be switched from a controlling tactic to a fast, fluid counter-attacking one two by changing the instructions.

I was ready to test this out in the friendly matches which were coming up against Schalke 04, Santana and Camacha to see whether it would be good enough for the league.
edu1878 Thanks, he has great mental stats so thinking of making him the assistant captain or something like that. The friendlies have been going very well too and I will try post the results soon :D

Nice & simple tactic. Surprised to see Mateus on the bench unless this isn't your official starting line-up. The guy from Estoril is actually Diego Rocha (not Costa). Guimaraes also have a quality Winger/Striker called Ricardo, Ruben from Maritimo is a really good left back and Moreirense have two good strikers called Rafael Lopes & Nabil Ghilas. Also look at some of Sporting & Benfica players on loan, always someone good available :D look forward to seeing some more transfers and the season begin.

KingPadster Yeah it is a great tactic, its worked well in the friendlies so far :) Mateus is my starting striker too I realised just before the firdt friendly that his finishing was 14 so I put him in. Thanks for the transfer tips, I haven't got a proper AML but I have plenty of ST. I recently signed Jadson from Olhanense (CM) and he looks good. And thanks or the tip on the LB cos I am very short on those (1 2 star LB)
Good start mate! Nice to see a portuguese story... Good luck! :)
Gambit84 Thanks mate. I noticed that and so I thought it would be good to try one :D
Nice tactic, this is looking great for your first storht ;)

And yes, that was meant to be story, but I wasn't looking and when I saw it it looked funny so I kept it ;)
