2013-06-09 20:48#110512 The Madridista : Fantastic signing mate, I signed Lars Bender for my spurs career as well. :) Sandro is class though, unhappy to see him go :(

I didn't want to but I had to in order to afford Bender!
I prefer Sandro to Bender, I love him as a player :P But Bender is also my favourite German player so maybe it's alright. I prefer both of them to Fellaini though :P but Good luck!
Cannot believe you got rid of Sandro... he is a beast. Good Luck though
Okikos: thanks! I prefer Bender on the game and I couldn't turn down 15m.

Inquisition: Thanks, I feel Bender can fill his boots!
Bender is a good player but Sandro is worth at least 18m :p

Tottenham look stronger than many think

Tottenham legend, Glenn Hoddle, has spoken to the BBC about Tottenham's chances this season. The Legend expressed his delight at his old friend Teddy Sheringham's signings. Tottenham look a much stronger team now they have signed Baines, Fellaini, Hernandez and Lars Bender.

Hoddle spoke wisely about Tottenham's chances this season, he said " Spurs are looking strong this year. Teddy has brought in some very good players and has added some depth alongside with quality. I hope all the fans can be behind him and Tottenham as they aim to qualify for the champions league and possibly finish above Arsenal".

The legend then went on to say certain players have to step up their game to benefit players, "I feel players such as Lennon and Bale have to be superb this season, they're two vital players for spurs. They both have wicked pace and will be needed to assist the strikers. In the last few years Lennon hasn't been the same Lennon he was before and I hope this season that changes."

All spurs fans will be hoping this is the season, the season Tottenham break the jinx that has lasted for 18 years. Along with that they will be hoping to qualify for the champions league. Many people have been concerned about the sale of Sandro. Some fans feel Lars Bender can not fill Sandro's boots. Both midfielders are 23 years old but there are always debates over who is the better player.
I think they can definitely do it! It is true though, Spurs have got a great squad coming along. :D

August and September results part 1

White Hart Lane

2-1

Spurs Starting Lineup: Lloris, Naughton, Caulker, Vertonghen, Baines, Demebele, Sandro, Lennon, Holtby, Bale, Hernandez

GOALS : Bale(65), Dempsey(68), Chamakh(69)

MOTM : Sandro

A very nice way to open the season. We played as a team today and got the three points. This was Sandro's last game at the club and we wish him all the best at Manchester City.

St.James Park

0-1

Spurs Starting Lineup: Lloris, Naughton, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Baines, Lennon, Bender, Fellaini, Bale, Dempsey, Hernandez

GOALS : Heranandez

MOTM : Mbiwa

We fought hard and that lead to us winning 1-0 away from home. Hernandez was unplayable today, hopefully he can keep it up throughout the season.

White Hart Lane

1-0

Spurs Starting Lineup: Lloris, Naughton, Caulker, Vertonghen, Baines, Fellaini, Bender, Lennon, Demebele, Bale, Hernandez

GOALS : Fellaini(10)

MOTM : Vertonghen

What a brilliant victory this was. All the boys put in 100% and you could see the determination in each on of their eyes. This victory will really boost our confidence knowing we beat the champions of the league. It was a return to White Hart Lane for Sandro as well but he came off the bench.

Loftus Road

0-3

Spurs Starting Lineup: Lloris, Naughton, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Baines, Demebele, Bender, Lennon, Holtby, Bale, Hernandez

GOALS : Hernandez (11), Demebele (13), Bale (65)

MOTM : Vertonghen

Vertonghen was brilliant today, but he just rounded a brilliant team performance. We played QPR off the pitch today and got yet another three points.
Great result against Man City and a really nice update style mate
