Crystal Palace star in dramatic car crash.

http://i40.tinypic.com/30hwkt0.png

Reports earlier today have confirmed that Crystal Palace footballer, Kwesi Appiah was involved in an Road Traffic Accident in the early hours of the morning. The 22 year old has crashed his Audi R8 after swerving to avoid what reports believe to be a badger.

The striker was found at the scene with minor cuts and bruises and is surprisingly okay - something which can't be said for his car. No one else was injured in the crash.

Further reports are also claiming that the striker could have been under the influence of alcohol and could possibly have been three times over the legal limit. The striker was taken into police custody where he currently remains.

This isn't the first time the striker has been in trouble during his time at Palace. Just a few months ago, he had a training ground bust up with midfielder Jonathan Williams.

The star is currently transfer listed at Palace, with Gus said to be 'sick' of the players antics. It is believed that he has requested to be taken off of the transfer list several times, all which have been rejected by the Eagles manager.
Interesting twist there will it be the end of his career at Palace?
Appiah. Coming to your local Job Centres soon :P

Gus Poyet rejects second managerial offer

http://i43.tinypic.com/16k165e.png

Crystal Palace manager has reiterated his desire to stay at Selhurst Park for a few more years after declining a contract offer from Brazillian side Botafogo.

Speaking to the press, Gus was quoted "Yes, I have had another offer from another team in the Brazilian league. I have rejected the offer and I will remain with Palace. They are a club achieving great things and I want to achieve great things with them."

He also went on to add: "I cannot say it enough. I will not be leaving Crystal Palace for the foreseeable future. No job could make me change my mind. I want to build a legacy here at Palace. We're doing well [in the league.] We're on a seven match unbeaten run, which is a great feeling."

The newspaper, The Daily Star first broke the news that Botafogo chairman Mauricio Assumpcao was targeting the Argentinian manager to fill the vacant managerial position. Steve Parish, however was confident on keeping his manager at the reigns of Palace and has stated that he would "put up a fight" and do "everything in his power" to keep the manager at Selhurst Park.

Earlier this year Gus Poyet snubbed the chance to move to Brazil to manager Santos. In an interview, he stated "I have signed a contract with Palace, and I plan to stay by my contract. I would not have bought in so many players just to leave. I owe you [the fans] and Steve for giving me the opportunity to manage in the best league in the world. He has trusted me, and I need to re-pay that faith."
Palace > Botofago. Well Botofago do have Doria but Palace have THE ONE AND ONLY DANNY BATTH. Great update btw.

Kwesi Appiah let go by Palace

http://i43.tinypic.com/b6euqr.png

In shocking news today, Crystal Palace footballer, Kwesi Appiah has been released by the club. It is believed that Gus Poyet had had enough of the strikers antics and said he "couldn't cope" with someone with such a poor attitude.

This has come to no suprise to some fans, due to several instances he has found himself in during his time at Crystal Palace.

Earlier last year the footballer was caught up in a fight with team-mate Jon Williams, which ended up with Kwesi sporting a rather large black eye. The two players were fined two weeks wages for the incident.

Just five days ago, Kwesi was caught in a road traffic accident where he had swerved to avoid an animal. Luckily, no-one was seriously injured in the crash, with the driver (Kwesi) coming away with minor scratches, as well as some bruising. Police later interviewed the star, where he was arrested on caution of drink driving after being found three times over the legal limit. The player was subsequently bailed by a family member.

Reports coming out the training ground today reveal that Gus and Kwesi were involved in a heated argument in the managers office, which were heard by several players. Several profanities were said to have been traded, before Kwesi stormed out of the office, slamming the door on the way out.

The player has left the club on a free transfer as of 20th of October. The youngster faces a court appearance in roughly two months time for dangerous driving.
Kwesi just looked like trouble! Apparently he's got real potential in real life
