A good result away in the semi- Final, taking a 1-0 lead to Wattford should simple enough I hope... A cup final would be epic!

12-1-14 WIGAN (A) 3-0 Vydra, Ince, Soutto.

18-1-14 Everton (H) 0-1 Jagielka- I dId rest alot of players for the Cup Semi.

GET IN THERE!! A convincing 2-0 win with a Ferdinand goal as well as a screamer from Crisetig...
We will face Championship side Brighton inj The Final after the upset the odds and beat Liverpool in the semi 1-0 on agg.
So We will probably go in as favourites, Really would love a domestic trophy & European football.

TRANSFER NEWS
WILL HUGHES HAS JOINED ASTON VILLA ON LOAN
ABDI HAS ALSO GONE ON LOAN TO PARMA, after picking up 4 seperate injuries this season and not featuring at all... Has hardly played since joining.

29-1-14 SWANSEA (H) 2-0 Lampard, De Bruyne.

1-2-14 WEST HAM (H) 0-1 J.Cole

4-2-14 READING (A) 2-0 Alderweirld, Vydra

9-2-14 ARSENAL (A) 0-0
Great stuff mate! Some excellent signings! Quick question, did you put clauses so that you can buy them at the end of the season (loanees)

No clauses to buy Courtois, Carrol, Bojan or Salvio.

Courtois was Load listed at Chelski and was bought in as I didnt have full faith in Alumunia, He has impresed but could be a pricey option next year, I am trying to get IGOR AKINFEEV on free for next year.

The other 3 have only really been squad players, Carrol & Bojan are not needed by their clubs so possibly but both on a good age at thier clubs so all depends. Salvio was loan listed although decent, not really worth me blowing 10 mil plus on him.

SQUAD PERFORMANCE

After a great season finishing 8th & a cup win in our maiden seasons back in The Premier League.
The players had performed fantastically, our style of possession football was very well executed as you can see by our pass ratio’s.
RIO FERDIDNAND had an unbelievable AVR of 7.88 in 33 league starts. Fantastic for a 35 year old who arrived on a free transfer in the summer, His partnership with Alderweireld was a key component in our team’s success.
FRANK LAMPARD also a proved the gamble paid off with a great AVR of 7.44.
LUCAS ROMERO had been a revelation since playing a more advanced role in mideifeld, his consistency in all 3 roles of the midfield has been superb.
TOM INCE grabbed 9 goals which is a decent return but his consistency was an issue although his development has been fantastic now becoming a key man for his Country.
Many of ht e squad are still yet to reach anywhere near their full potential and the likes of Hoban & Chalobah didn’t feature as much as I would of liked but enough to enhance their development.
I felt bad on Toloi who didn’t feature in a single league game, after playing 40 odd games last season and although a decent player, RIO, TOBY & HOBAN stayed pretty fit throughout the season and their consistency didn’t allow me to give him a game.... Harsh I know.

COURTOIS- AVR 7.07- 21 Clean Sheets

FERDINAND- AVR 7.88
ALDERWEIRELD- AVR 7.27
CLYNE- AVR 7.24

MINO- AVR 7.28

SOUTTO- AVR 7.28

LAMPARD- AVR 7.47

ROMERO- AVR 7.57

INCE- AVR 7.11

DE BRUYNE- AVR 7.06

VYDRA- AVR 7.19

Worth A Mention......

PERUZZI AVR- 7.33 HOBAN AVR- 7.12
CRISETIG AVR- 7.16 FORESTIERI AVR- 7.06
Cool story dude :)
Watford for the Europa League.
Great results, and good finish. Building up a great team so hopefully the outgoing loans don't hurt your European performance too much. Keep it up. :)
2014-15 SEASON- EUROPA LEAGUE FOOTBALL FOR WATFORD!

THE NEW SEASON BOUGHT ALOT TO LOOK FORWARD TOO WITH A EUROPA LEAGUE CAMPAIGN AHEAD.
THE BOARD OFFERED ME A BUDGET OF 24 MIL FOR A MID TABLE FINISH BUT AFTER LAST YEARS 8TH PLACE
I PLUMPED FOR A TOP HALF FINISH WITH A BUDGET OF 31 MIL.

1 st JULY 2014

The transfer market magician that is Gianfranco Zola has waved his magic wand again.
5 players have been unveiled today, all on free transfers.
The deal for Ukrainian international Denys Garmash was done in February,
the energetic midfielder will add more to the already talented midfield.
The other 4 deals were completed after the season was done, with the club's
reputation enhanced by Europa League football after their Capital One Cup win,
Polish goal machine Lewandowski was a target for Manchester Utd last season but
Zola was first to his signature after not wanting to renew his contract at Dortmund.
Dutch international Clasie was in superb for Feyenoord last season and caught Zola's
scout’s eyes, another player who fits their midfield style with good energy and
pristine passing.
Zola was left with only John Bond as his only contracted keeper after
Mauel Alumunia's contract expired & Thibaut Courtois loan finished, many believed
Zola would try an tempt the young Chelsea man to join permanently but when
Russian number 1 Akinfeev agreed personal terms a cheaper yet still reliable
option seems to be Zola's preferred choice, Matthia Perrin,21, will serve as
Akinfeev's back up for the season as John Bond is expected to go on loan again to
fulfil his potential.
When Zola presented the players today he stated ‘All 5 of these players will
really contribute to the long term future of the club, without spending a penny
always helps.
With Robert many teams chased him but when we spoke our vision of how we want to
play I think really stood out for him.
Both Denys & Jordi are young guys also but with lots of experience and real quality
both adaptable which is what I like & what we will need for this season, as we will
have a lot of games.
The 2 goalkeepers are something we would of had to buy if this great opportunity
didn’t arise, Igor has nearly 80 international caps & is one of the top goalkeepers
in European football, Matthia is only 21 but has played 3 or 4 years of first team
football now, he will learn a lot from Igor this year.’

7 th JULY 2014

Italian manger Gianfranco Zola has not been hanging around this week, after announcing
5 free transfers last week, he has been at it again, Algerian striker Ishak Belodil
joined yesterday for £ 4mil after a superb season in Italy last year netting 17 league
goals and Zola has moved swift to bring in the 22 year old who has been looking for a
move since the end of last season.
Today a press conference in Italy unveiled Spanish winger Erik Lamela for £ 13 mil
& Mannolo Gabbiadini for £ 4 mil.
Lamela had a superb season last year netting 13 goals from the right but with Romafinishing 12 th in Serie A, He equested a transfer, The move is seen as a risk by
many, but Zola said he believes Lamela has the quality & attitude to develop in to
a great.
Gabbiadini scored 12 goals for Atalanta last year but with their resources limited
a bargain seems to be had for Zola, a player that should add to the left of their
attack.
