Hi Guys

First attempt at football manager story here. So any help will be appreciated.

In this story I have decided to play as myself and start a career in what is probably the dream job for most of us. Football management. I have started this story assuming I had a professional football career up until the age of 25 (lets say it was cut short by injury). I will be continuing my love for the game by becoming a football manager and hopefully reaching the top. This save will last for many seasons (hopefully at least 30) because as Sir Alex has shown us managers can reach their 70s and still be the best.

So I will dive right into it with the team I land my first job at to be confirmed soon.

Goals for the story

  • Win the premier league
  • Win the FA cup
  • Compete in the champions league
  • Win a trophy on another continent than Europe
  • Win at least five different trophies in Europe
  • Manage at international level
  • Manage the England national team
  • Manage the England national team at a World Cup
good luck nice goals

Chrystal Palace unveil new manager

After weeks of speculation Chrystal Palace have today released a statement that rookie manager Matthew Pavitt will take the reins at Selhurst park. Pavitt 26 who was last year forced out from a career in football due to injury has signed a deal that will keep him at Selhurst park until June 2015. The deal is believed to be worth an estimated 625K per year. Pavitt is said to be delighted to have landed his first job in football management.

Palace are so far experiencing a horror season in the Npower Championship rooted to the bottom of the table. The feeling from the inside of the club is of hope and anticipation that the new manager can turn the season around and guide palace to safety. Pavitt has already stated to the media that this is his primary target for the remainder of the season.

Pavitt in managerial debut

Chrystal Palace manager Matthew Pavitt made his managerial debut this weekend with his team Npower Championship match with Middlesbrough. Pavitts side took the lead on 87 minutes and looked to have a valuable 3 points in the bag. It was not to be a dream start for Pavitt however as a defensive error allowed Middlesbrough to score a dramtic equaliser in the 90th minute.

Pavitt has been stated as saying he would have been happy with a point away at Middlesbrough before the game, However he said the way the game was lost was unacceptable and he looks to set the defence right over the coming weeks.
