I signed Coquelin in my previous save with A.C. Milan and it does his job, scoring also some goals... A good signing mate...
You have a wonderful young squad and Coq will be a good addition, good luck! :)
Really like this team excited to see what happens! Good Luck
Thanks for the support guys, really appreciate it

Pre-Season begins

http://i41.tinypic.com/9liy48.jpg

After the players returned from their luxurious holidays, it was time to get down to serious hard work, this season the players would be having their pre-season in England, I wasn't too concerned about the results of the games, we were more focusing on implementing and understanding the new tactics I would be offering, a short passing fluid style of football.

These were the results from the friendly matches we played

The results weren't great at all, especially the loses to Southampton and Cardiff, but it was only pre-season so I wasn't too concerned, It was a time to get fitness levels up and learn the new tactic, I wasn't going to get frustrated, it took more than a week to build Rome.

We would fly back to Spain to prepare for our first fixture of the season, Barcelona away.
Love the start here!
Not a great pre-season... But it doesn't mean anything mate... ;)
Pretty bad pre-season but that's what they are for! To iron out all the problems :)

Prieto - 'Sanz will succeed'

http://i39.tinypic.com/ader28.jpg

In a press conference this afternoon, Sociedad club captain Xabi Prieto has backed newly appointed manager Fernando Sanz to achieve great things at the club,

'There is no doubt in my mind that Fernando will deliver success to this club, you only have to look at his history to see that he has bags of experience in the Spanish game, the squad are excited to get the season started and make it a special one for the fans.

This weekend, Sociedad will travel to Catalan giants Barcelona to kick off the new season.

August Update

http://i40.tinypic.com/2u94rax.jpg

Can't believe how this month has gone, a completely unexpected shocking victory at the Camp Nou, and then to follow up a comfortable victory at home to Celta Vigo.

Barcelona 0-1 Real Sociedad

Sociedad Starting XI - Bravo, Martinez, De la Bella, Gonzalez, Martinez, Zurutuza, Griezmann, Illarramendi, Vela, Prieto, Castro

Goals- Vela (3)

MOTM- Vela

What a fantastic and totally unexpected way to start the new campaign, the players put in an absolutely incredible performance and pulled off a remarkable victory, obviously Barcelona had the majority of the possession, but we expected that and playing on the counter managed to get an early goal against the run of play, and then hold on to a famous victory.

Real Sociedad 4-1 Celta Vigo

Sociedad Starting XI - Bravo, Martinez, De la Bella, Gonzalez, Martinez, Zurutuza, Griezmann, Illarramendi, Vela, Prieto, Castro

Goals- Martinez (18), Illarramendi (41), Vela (43,47)

MOTM- Vela

Another good performance this month from the players, they met the expectations well and delivered a deserved win, we dominated from the kick-off, Vela had another fantastic game with his 2 goals and looks to have started the season very strongly.

Player of the Month -
Great result against Barca :)

Fantastic start! Caught out the mighty Barcelona early followed by a big win v Celta. Can't ask for more
Nice start and some good results.

Another Spanish story added to the daily must-read-list.

Sanz - 'Vela can be a great'

http://i43.tinypic.com/1z6x6q.jpg

Upon being asked in a press conference today about the young Mexican forward, Fernando Sanz has heaped praise on Carlos Vela, saying that he is delighted with the start he has made to the season and hopes it continues, he then went on to say how he believes Carlos can become a leading forward in the Liga BBVA and potentially become a great of the club.

Vela has enjoyed a fine start to the season, notching up an impressive 3 goals in 2 games including his most notable finish at the Camp Nou to secure Sociedad' 1-0 victory over the Catalan giants, At the young age of 24, Carlos still has a huge future ahead of him and the Sociedad fans will certainly be hoping that his future lies with them.
