Why Celtic?

Why not Celtic? :P

Well truthfully i have RARELY played on countries besides England, only Lille OSC in France that one time. I'd like to experience what's it's like in Scotland, with us dominating and Rangers on 3rd division and all. My goals for the 1st season are:

- Winning the League
- Winning the League Cup
- Winning the Scottish Cup
- Reaching at least the quarter-finals of the Champions League

I think they're quite achievable with the squad i have.

Who am i?

The legendary Scottish goalkeeper Craig Gordon!

He's currently a free agent, so i might sign him also OR follow his developments on the club that he signs if it's not Celtic.

Next update will include squad overview!
Good start, would be interesting to see the two gordons united. good luck.

First Comment!!!

Squad Overview

Goalkeepers :
Fraser Forster
Lukasz Zaluska

Fraser is quality, he should be called up soon to back up Joe Hart in my opinion. Lukasz will do for backup but he's probably going to be upset for not playing.

Potential Targets : Craig Gordon

Adam Matthews (RB)!image/2868461378.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_595/2868461378.jpg
Mikael Lustig (RB)
Joe Chalmers (LB)
Emilio Izaguirre (LB)

Emilio is quality LB, he's probably wanted by other clubs but i will keep him at all cost. Joe is young, maybe getting an LB would be a good idea.

We have 2 good RBs, i might buy another just for the sake of it.

Potential Targets : Stephen Warnock, Stephen Kelly

Marcus Fraser

Efe Ambrose
Kelvin Wilson
Thomas Rogne

Don't need major improvements, should do for now.

Victor Wanyama
Beram Kayal
Scott Brown
Joe Ledley

James Forrest
Paddy McCourt
Kris Commons
Dylan Mcgeouch

Filip Twardzik

Giorgos Samaras

Looking to sell Scott Brown and Paddy McCourt to free up wages and for finance. Replacements suggestions?

Anthony Stokes
Gary Hooper

Tony Watt

Lassad Nouioui

Gary Hooper's quality! Looking to sell Anthony Stokes.

Well that took awhile, next update will include August and transfers if any!
Good squad overall, don't think you really need gordon, but then again you never know. one or two more midfielders may be useful but other then that it is a quality squad.
edu1878 :Maybe i dont need Gordon idk :P yeah a few midfielders will be good, any suggestions?

Very good squad. Tony Watt is a gem. That's one tough group though
I had to reinstall the game because it kept crashing, the data was lost, but everything, besides the champions league groups are still the same.

Updates soon!
Id keep Brown cos hes quality but sell Samaras instead. Brown is like the heartbeat of Celtics midfield he breaks down attacks and then creates goalscoring chances
Good luck!

Signings :

Meself, Craig Gordon (GK)(Free)
Aleksandar Lukovic (LB) (£ 1.4M)

Departures :

Scott Brown (MC) (£ 3.1M)
Paul Slane (AMR) (£ 50K)
James Keatings (SC) (£ 50K)
Lewis Toshney (DC) (£ 40K)
Robbie Thomson (GK) (£ 3K)

Qualifying Champions League Match
4 - 0 (agg.) vs. Apollon L.
I didn't play it and skipped it due to stupidity and i won't post goals just because i didn't watch it.

1 - 4
Victor Wanyama (21), Lassad Nouioui (24, 82), Charlie Mulgrew (75), Michael Higdon (66)
A good way to start off the Premier League!

2 - 3
Tony Watt (19), Giorgos Samaras (21), Gary Hooper (80), Steven Thompson (35), Paul McGowan (42)
Great comeback from a 2 - 2 draw by substitute Gary Hooper!

Champions League Playoff Leg 1
2 - 2 Club Brugge
Giorgos Samaras (59, 89), Hans van der Linden (68), Niki Zimling (83)
Considering we were facing a group with no players, i feel we should have done more.

2 - 0
Gary Hooper (30), Lassad Nouioui (82)
A great result! My strikers are doing great so far!

Champions League Playoff Leg 2
6 - 0 Club Brugge
Lassad Nouioui (8, 26), Tony Watt (12, 24), James Forrest (63), Aleksandar Lukovic (90)
Charlie Mulgrew (62)
Aleksandar's debut scored a goal and an assist for Tony, he's beginning to look like a great signing. And now at the expense of Club Brugge and Apollon L. we have advanced to the group stage!

3 - 2
Emilio Izaguirre (5), Gary Hooper (13, 90),Michael Gardyne (36), Jon Daly (45)
Gary Hooper is doing wonderful! But i feel we are conceding too much goals...

2 - 1
Emilio Izaguirre (5), Gary Hooper (13, 90),Michael Gardyne (36), Jon Daly (45)
And a 2-1 result rounds up an undefeated month!

CELTIC Player of the Month

Scoring 8 goals in 8 appearances and the top scorer in the League currently with 5 goals easily makes Lassad the player of the month for us!

Honorable Mention
Aleksandar Lukovic, scoring once, assisting twice, and being a force at the backline this month has proven to be a great signing!
Great start, and great results! Keep it up :)
