Ok so my idea is that i sort of emulate the career of Jose Mourinho winning what i can with Porto and then getting recognition and getting a job at a bigger club in England or somewhere else and then moving around the world winning everything i can with a succession of clubs like Mourinho has done himself whether its 2 years at a club or 10 years with a few upsets along the way!!
Ruben Molero has just taken over from Vitor Pereira as FC Porto manager after Vitor resigned due to fatigue.
Ruben Molero has worked at FC Porto for the last 8 years, originally coming to the club as head of communications from Academica, another side in Portugal. It was only in the last 5 seasons that Molero had a change of role at the club.
After growing close to Vitor Pereira he started showing an interest in coaching, and would help out with the youth squad and in first team training if someone was ill.
He built up a good relationship with the players and coaching staff at the club, in his free time he would study hard for his coaching badges, he already had Level 2 & 3 and was working on a Continental Pro License!!
2 months pass and it is exactly 4 weeks before the start of the new season and Vitor Pereira breaks the news to the club that he is to step down after complaining of fatigue for a while now.
He had recommended me to the board as I was a cheap option and was showing great knowledge and determination like a certain Andre Villas-Boas.
Ruben Molero now had 3 interviews scheduled with the Porto Board to determine whether he was made of the right stuff….

2012/13 Season Round up!!
So FC Porto have completed the double! League winners & Champions League winners!
Straight out of the blocks were Benfica and Porto, hotly chased by Braga but the top two pulled away and it was evident as in recent years it was a two horse race!
Benfica dropped out of the Champions League early so only had the cup and League to concentrate on leaving Porto fighting on all fronts although they would soon drop out of the Portuguese cup which just left two competitions!!
20 games played and FC Porto had been in pole position for a while now and didn’t look like dropping it, but Benfica kept the pace winning every time Porto did, with a 5 point gap to close.
Now Porto turned their attentions to the Champions League where they had Qualified from an easy group and now faced Europe’s elite in a knockout stage for glory.
First round knockout stage:
Real Madrid 2-3 FC Porto (Aggregate win)
Quarter Final
FC Porto 2-1 Chelsea (Aggregate win)
Now Porto were in the Semi Final against Bayern Munich!!
Porto struggled to hold them back with bayerns attacking players showing real class, but Porto managing to hold their own being incisive on the counter attack!!
Bayern 3-4 FC Porto (Aggregate win)
WOW the final!!
FC Porto V Man City
a real battle, Porto set up on the counter attack and were really under the cosh, but a rare corner was nodded in by Maicon and now they had something to hold on to, but not with this City
attack. City levelling after 20 minutes of the goal.
1-1 After extra time and now it was penalties…
FC Porto Win 3-2 on Penalties!! Helton saving Ribery’s tame shot!!
FC Porto & Ruben Molero had done it, he would now be recognised throughout the world of football for this magnificent achievement!!
FC Porto also won the league 4 days before this final so they had now done the double!!
FC PORTO DOUBLE WINNERS!!!
Surely Ruben Molero had achieved all he could at Porto??
