After some much needed scouting and some words of concern I've decided to revise the potential budget for your 25 player squad.

Iv voted for 125Mill as i don't want the budget to much as it wont be as challenging.

An interesting point that requires discussion... how would people prefer i deal with free agents in terms of the budget??

interesting question can if there free agents they should be free to purchase dont u think?

I'll have to look into the quality of the free agents at the beginning of the 2012/13 season i suppose... want any hidden superstars out there now do we I'll go with the consensus though, if people want them free then free they shall be... unless a bidding war kicks off

For example Nathan Ellington's total is 7.2mill there for he'd be 7mil.

Or go on real life value using transfermrkt.co.uk .... So Ellington's Real life value is 450k

I agree... ziechal i think the football manager prices are too low and we should use something like transfer market to make it a little more challenging... give each team 150-200 and use that website

It has been proven multiple times that 100M £ can get you a champions league spot in the EPL

It's an interesting case everyone makes. I originally set the budget at 100m to provide that little bit of a challenge getting a good squad together and to stop everyone buying the same elite players. While the prices might be considered low in-game it doesn't matter overmuch as we can adjust the spending power to compensate, using external pricing but doubling the budget makes the whole thing irrelevant really.

I'll keep this poll running for the next day to determine the starting budget but i'm going to stick to in-game values as per July 2012 using a 13.3.0 database.

The main thing that needs ironing out is the free transfers, would everyone be happy to have their value set to 0 (bidding wars aside)? Or does anyone have a better idea?

How about at 1M. Otherwise, we can have a bazillion free players on our teams...

I think they should just be free.

4 hours till i close the voting... it is currently looking like free players will count as 0 and there will be a 100m starting budget. I'm happy with that personally but there is still time to have your say.

I like the flexibility this will give us, 25 4m players or 23 0m and 2 50m superstars... or something in between

Once voting is officially closed i'll pm you a link to your private squad sheet and then once all those are in the bidding war can begin

I'll be out from between about now and 4pm, so I won't reply until about 4:30.
