FK Partizan Belgrade were founded in 1945, 67 years ago in Belgrade by a group called 'Yugoslav Peoples Army' (JNA). They play in the Serbian SuperLiga and share a very fierce cross-town rivalry with Red Star Belgrade, it was voted 4th in the Daily Mail greatest rivalries of all-time. They have both won an equal amount of Serbian SuperLiga's (25 each) and they have met 178 times with Red Star winning 59 and Partizan winning 42. This rivalry is known as the Eternal derby or Derby of Southeast Europe. Parizan and Red Star are the most popular clubs in Serbia according to a survey in 2007. Partizan's full name is Fudbalski klub Partizan Beograd and play at the Partizan Stadium, Belgrade which holds 32,710 spectators. Partizan have a large following in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. They have an organised group of supporters called the Grobari (The Gravediggers or Undertakers) which were formed in 1970 and based mainly on the south stand of the Partizan Stadium, the Grobari have maintained a close relationship with supporters of PAOK Thessaloniki, CSKA Sofia and CSKA Moscow. Partizan compete in the Champions League after winning the SuperLiga title and Partizan's record-holder for number of appearances is Momcilo Vukotic who played 791 games between 1968 and 1978.
