Mansfield Town have today released 27 players ahead of the new campaign in the Blue Square Premier, Mansfield had a lot of fringe players in the reserves and Carolyn Radford believes they aren't needed for next season.
The full list of players released include; Matthew Harris, Ross Dyer, Lee Stevenson, Clayton Brown, Jordan Villums, Jan Jankiewicz, Kurtis Turner, Jamie Hand, Ryan Tafazolli, Blake Vincent, Ryan Hopkins, Shane Redmond, Ritchie Sutton, Luke Jones, George Pilkingston, Exodus Geohaghan, Anthony Howell, Andy Todd, Louis Briscoe, Jamie Tolley, Lindon Meikle, Nick Wright, Ben Hutchinson, Matt Rhead, John Thompson, Jake Speight and Alan Marriott

Mansfield Towns manager Carolyn Radford as today announced the captain for the forthcoming season will be experienced Belgium center back Donovan Maury, Donovan is new the the English league so it's a huge step for him to become the captain of the non-league outfit and as a whole new squad to work with and influence.
Meanwhile the vice captain as also been announced and will be striker Guieseppe Laccara.

Mansfield squad was actually quite big!
