Dean Windass Returns To Hull

Sky Sports can confirm that Hull City have appointed Dean Windass as their new manager to replace Steve Bruce. Bruce has just got Hull back to the Premier League but has been sacked after a bust-up with the chairman over a new contract with Bruce demanding higher wages. This is the third time that 44 year old Dean Windass has had a spell at Hull after playing firstly between 1991-95 then returning between 2007-09. This is Dean's second go at management after a spell as caretaker boss at Bradford in 2003. The Hull City fans are said to be delighted that the legend will be managing the club during their first season back in the top division. Dean Windass will be on £15k per week until 2013.
Nice start

Windass Announces Likely Line-up

ESPN can today announce the side that Dean Windass will be starting with for the upcoming Premier League season. Using a 4-5-1 formation Windass' key players this year will be 'keeper Allan McGregor, James Chester and Robert Koren. Figueroa and Aluko will also be key for Hull's survival this year. Robbie Brady is a key player for the future and looks to have great potential. Dean Windass will be looking to strengthen both centre forward and right wing positions, but with only a £400k budget and £10k a week wages to deal with this will be hard to do.

Hull Target Loans

According to Sky Sports Sources, Ilsinho and Frimpong are targets for Hull City and their new manager Dean Windass. Both deals would be loan deals if they go through and will strengthen Hull's side to stay up in the Premier League. Windass rejected the rumours but Ilsinho has tweeted earlier today that it is his dream to play in the Premier league and his wife has been seen looking for houses to rent around Hull. Make of that what you will.

Hull's Pre-Season Finished

Dean Windass' start as Hull City boss has been a good one with 4 pre season wins out of 5, the other game being a draw. A 5-2 win against Winterton started Dean's campaign followed by a 4-0 win against Haverfordwest and a 3-0 win against Rhyl. The first draw of his career came against North Ferriby which infact had 4 loan players from Hull. A good win finished off Hull's pre season against Championship side Blackpool 1-0 with a goal from Evans in the 67th minute. The results obviously proved to Windass that his side needed strengthening with more players as on the back of pre season 3 loan players came in.

Defensive midfielder Frimpong from Arsenal was loaned for no fee, however Hull will pay his full wages for his 12 month loan. Young striker Macheda was loaned from Manchester United for £22k per month to strengthen Hull's attack as was Kazim Richards who was brought from Galatasary for £88k per month. Dean Windass also shown he wanted more players to come from the academy by asking for youth facilities to be improved by the board which was agreed.
A great start, especially for a first story. Oh, and welcome to the site :)

Thanks Kane, hopefully all will go well!

August

Not a bad month overall for Dean Windass and his hull side, however they will be looking back on how they didn't win all 3 games. Everton is always a hard fixture and Hull earned a hard point whereas another 0-0 draw against Fulham should of been a different story with Hull dominating the game. It looked like a full month of draws for Hull as they went past 90 minutes against York at 1-1 after a fluke 50 yard goal by York in the 88th minute. However, new free man Davies helped earn a victory. The victory earned Hull a place in the fourth round draw.

The two draws by Hull left them out of the relegation zone in the end of August and up in 14th place. In other news, here is the round up of transfers this summer.

Good stuff man, keep it up:)
