SOUTHPORT SACK ALAN WRIGHT
http://www.southportfc.net/uploads/news/img_5195399e3ebd5.JPG
Alan Wright, a former Aston Villa player has been sacked by Southport upon a falling out with club chairman Charlie Clapham. Wright became manager of Southport after the resignation of Liam Watson on the 15th of May this year. Reports suggest Wright had been angered by the lack of funds and support bestowed upon him in the brief 1 month stint in charge. With the departure of Alan Wright, Southport now face the troublesome task of appointing a new manager as well as replacing a number of rumoured Alan Wright supporters within the clubs personnel. Tough times ahead for the Southport fans, indeed.

SEASON 2012-2013 SEASON PREVIEW
The Sandgrounders, although having to face change and reconstruction via a new inexperienced manager has done little to suggest a break out of the rut they have found themselves in, this of course being mid-table mediocrity. Therefore,our prediction for Southport's league position come the end of the Blue Square Bet Premier this season is;

SOUTHPORT RELEASE NEW 2012-2013 SEASON KITS
Southport has stuck to the colors we have all come to love despite initial medial thoughts of a disastrous fluro pink home kit. This season we will see our beloved Sandgrounders in a sandy yellow with bold black stripes home kit, as well as a nice ocean blue away kit. I think we all owe Nike a round of applause for producing two impressive kits that us fans can be especially proud of.

SOUTHPORT IN A STATE OF UPHEAVAL
The sacking of Alan Wright, bought a sense of outrage and astonishment amongst the fans as well as the backroom staff of Southport. It is no surprise that many have followed Alan Wright through the exit door and it is declared that both Dominic Morley and Chris Roberts have left despite various attempts to stay carried out by new manager Scott Adkins. This now leaves a backroom staff consisting of only player/coach Alan Moogan, worrying times.
