Following the resignation of Edgar Davids, former bee Darren Currie has been apointed as the club's new Head Coach. Darren Currie made 127 appearance for the bees and has now returned to Barnet. Howver this time, instead of being at Underhill, he is at Barnet's new stadium "The Hive". The Hive has a capacity of just over 5,000 with over 3,000 seats in it and it is hoped that this new stadium can be good luck for the bees.
Currie made this statement on the club website:
"
I am really delighted to have been asked back to the club and I really hope that I can make a difference to the club and also it's fortunes in getting back to the football league. I think Barnet are lucky in keeping a majority of their key players which will make it easier, the media say we will finish fifth but we could win the league if we try hard enough. Oh, and Davids will play!"
