Whittingham gone!

 Portsmouth F.C. chairman Iain McInnes has announced the imminent dismissal of manager Guy Whittingham. Reports say that McInnes has found a replacement to take Portsmouth back to their days in the Premier League. But no one inside the club knows who it is with many members still shocked to see the dismissal of Whittingham.

Good luck with the story. Portsmouth is one of the most difficult teams to be in my opinion so I hope it goes well.

The Odds

With William hill giving a 3/1 that Harry Redknapp will give a go at a 3rd try of managing Portmouth

Whereas Bwin say Alex McLeish at 13/1


And Ladbrokes expect Avram Grant to return to Fratton Park with odds at 7/2

But who do you think is on Ian McInnes mind?

Ian McInnes has called a press conference to tell his new manager publicly to come out of the shadows and to now become officially appointed as the new manager of Portsmouth Football Club

Ian McInnes

"I have called a press conference today to announce that the new manager of Portsmouth is to be officially appointed today. I have no doubt in my mind that he is the one to lead this club into its former glory years."

"How will this new manager get the support of the fans because that will be key to survival of Portsmouth, wont it? The fans being on his side can only be positive"
"I'm sure he can get the fans right behind him as he once had them behind him in the stands"
"Are you saying he used to play for Portsmouth?"
"Yes I am he racked up quite a few appearances in fact and was a loyal keeper to have"
"So where is this former goalkeeper of Portsmouth if he is supposed to be here today/"

"He is coser than you think. Come on out from hiding now. I present to you our new manager!"
Out from behind the interviewers comes the new manager of Portsmouth Football Club!
