It's almost here!

As we close on the beginning of the next season I thought it would be a good idea to start looking at potential superstar players for next season of football.

Feel free to post who you think will be a bargain points machine or who will be a big spend but well worth the investment?

Got an opinion on a flop? Put it here as well... I get the feeling Torres may get a lot of abuse from this!

Now since that picture is ridiculously out of date I'm sure you'll join me in thinking that they really should get those kits off... in favour of the new ones of course, don't be rude!

A bargain to be had?

My first tip for a potential bargain points scorer would be Arouna Kone, very recently joining Everton from Wigan for a reported 6.5m.

He may have only scored 11 in 33 for Wigan but I firmly believe that with a team like Everton supplying him he should be looking at a fair few more in the coming season.

Reaching the latter years of his career I personally think that Kone will be looking to prove himself this season.

Or maybe?

Jozy Altidore, very likely to be joining Sunderland in the near future. With 23 goals in 33 league appearances last season he is a real threat in front of goal.

Still a young man there is still a lot more to come from Altidore and while Sunderland might not be one of the big bogs when it comes to Premier League Football, having only narrowly avoided the drop last season, they can still be dangerous going forwards.

Maybe having 6 foot 1 inch of deadly striker up front could make the difference?
