Eden Hazard moves to Chelsea!

Chelsea Football Club have just confirmed that Belgian wonderkid Eden Hazard has agreed on a move to Chelsea and to the English Premier League. The fee is estimated to be around 32 million pounds. Hazard was fantastic this season for Lille, scoring 21 goals and 48 appearances. Last year, he led Lille to a Double, a French League title and a Coupe de Ligue. Hazard appears to be happy about his moving, telling BBC that “When I thought about all the options I had in front of me, which included both Manchester clubs, I chose Chelsea because they have an excellent team and a brilliant fan base.” BBC are also reporting that Hazard was extremely interested in a move to Chelsea after they won the Champions League. Hazard plays on the left wing, and will play along with Juan Mata in the attacking line.

Although this is a great deal for Chelsea, not everybody is happy. Manchester United fans are stunned that Hazard hadn’t chose them, after several reports saying the deal to the Red Devils was all but done. Back in France, Lille fans are heartbroken that the face of the franchise had turned his back to the clubs repeated pleas to stay. Multiple news outlets are reporting that Hazard jerseys are being burned by the diehard Lille fans. The Lille chairman was outraged at the reports and the manager. Girard Fired!

We've just heard from Lille chairman Michel Seydoux that Rene Girad has been fired! The Lille manager did not manage to guide the team to continental football this year, but he won the league just 2 years ago. Seydoux told reporters that he was disgusted by the team's lack of success this season, and that he thought that the team could have been playing continental football if not for the sale of Eden Hazard. The last straw was when star player Dimitri Payet was sold to rivals Marseille for a paltry fee of just 8.5 million pounds. The team has confirmed that they are looking for a manager who can hold on to special talent and help the team regain their status as one of France's best clubs. The local Lille Paper announced today that the team were trying to snatch Gus Hiddnik from Anji to guide the team, but they would be willing to pick a fairly unknown person to guide the team. Of course, Marseille assistant coach Jason Hunt could come to Lille, as he has repeatedly expressed interest in the manager role at the Grand Stade Lille Metrople. Hunt new Lille Manager

Jason Hunt has been announced as the new manager of LOSC Lille Metrople. He joins from Marseille, where he was assistant coach. He was one of the favorites to get the job, due to his experience with a title contending French team. Hunt played a big role in getting Dimitry Payet from Lille, who had an excellent season last year at Lille. The 25 year old told the press that he wants to mix up the Veterans and the talented young players to create a balance in the team. Jason speaks highly of the squad he has already though. Hunt told the press that players like Soloman Kalou and Marvin Martin would play a huge part in getting Lille back to Champions League football, which is the new manager's goal for this season. He told the media that he felt that the title could be won next season. However, he did point out that the bigger the budget, the better chance there would be of success.
